Bit odd really.
Firstly we had Wells & Mehmeti stripped off to come on at the same time but then decided at the last minute only to bring on Nakhi, meaning we used 2 of our 3 sub opportunities when Anis came on a few minutes later.
Found it odd that 2 players who scored 3 goals between them midweek were on the bench... I assumed it was part of a masterplan, but the first 95 minutes of the game disproved that!

Some on here and social media believing Manning is in fact the second coming.
Genuine question, can you highlight anywhere that someone is claiming anything like this?

Or someone else with a house in Devon.
Ian Gay, gotta be. Presumably he'll want reassurances about the heights of the squad before putting pen to paper.

The club get a lot wrong (I'm not going to start a list, would take too long). But if it was a planned media tactic to give him a city top yesterday, then they should be applauded for getting that right - the footage seems to be everywhere

Rovers. Coming for us.
At this rate, it appears we'll be coming for them this time next season

Look on the bright side
Constant midtable = no major fear of relegation for us fans.
No need to pay out bonusses and increased salaries if we were promoted for the board to consider.
We might not be too happy, but we remain what Rovers would like to be.
Not a dig at you personally mate, but i hear a lot of fans who seem happy just to be doing better than rovers.
That's a depressing benchmark, as being better than a shite team, can still mean that you're shite

The bed wetters need to calm down imo. Was always going to take time to transition from a counter attacking team to one that has control so it's not really a surprise we've had a downturn. Manning has had next to no time on the grass to implement his coaching so has prioritised out of possession work which has largely been good.
let's give him a pre season and a transfer window to try and get a few players that can handle the ball then see what he can do-if we haven't shown a tangible improvement by October then I agree he would need to go.
Stick some new sheets on and calm down!
Ironic username?

Making us safe will see his job safe. He'll buy a load of players over summer turning us into a poundland Man City, then blame those players when they don't make us play like actual Man City.
He'll be sacked in November, and we'll move onto the next head coach who dares not question the regime. Ad infinitum.

Give him the same reception that we give to ANY Cardiff player
I get what you're saying, and I wish it was like it were in the good old days... but the default reception at these early kick offs seems to be apathy and a bit of yawning sadly

Let’s be honest. Sacking Pearson was nothing to do with football. So the comparison is pretty meaningless.
I wish this post could be pinned to the top of every thread, it'd stop 90% of the repetitive, predictable posts

Well I think the answer has to be, you do something different. If we can’t go round them, then we have to go direct. Even the occasional ball over the top wouldn’t hurt now and again, when all else is clearly failing.
Yep I agree. If you don't have an elite squad, then you have to have a plan B.
We could do with a target man, a head on a stick you could say!

Last time we played at forest in the league they weren't serving any alcohol at half time. When we questioned the bar staff in the concourse, the answer was that they choose not to do so for certain clubs.
Seems as though Forest have City earmarked as potentially causing problems, which might explain the many dogs?

£15 drinks...wish I could only spend £15 on drinks on an away day...I would probably skip the £20 on food though...packet of Quavers will keep me going...grab bag obviously
If you're also grabbing a bag, that'll set you back an extra ton and you can probably expect to triple the number of pints you sink too

But what was wearing that Beanie hat all about? West Ham didn't want to be here and it showed.
By this yardstick, about 90% of the crowd didn't want to be there on Tuesday night either... it was bloody freezing. Beanie totally justified!

The podcast is much better with Neil or fevs on it, as it stops Ian being as outright rude to others. If one of my "mates" spoke to me in that way, we wouldn't be mates for long.

Hi, I bought a Watford ticket (Saturday 20th January) and now cannot make it.
It's an adult ticket in dolman block e28.
I see the club offer refunds in exceptional circumstances only, which I assume this isn't, so Selling for £20
please message me if interested, cheers

Regarding growing the fanbase, I thought the club did really well yesterday with all the extra bits for the kids.
Certainly made an impression on mine, she's already been complaining that there's no football over summer
