Ian had quite a mare with his facts this week. It would be interesting if anyone could actually challenge him on his facts. The Joe Low fact was a pretty basic fact to be able to dispute.
What does he have against Alex Scott?
Ah i can answer that one. He's not fulfilling the potential as he would be if Ian was coaching him

Upgrading a kids ticket to an adult. Can this be done online? or only by the (overloaded) phone lines?
Apologies If this has already been answered somewhere in the thread

Rubbish game. I'd have much rather been watching Love Actually in BS7

What about if 'Big Rob' had happened to mention that Choudhury is of Asian descent? That's not fun and games but apparently being abused for weight is?
Did that actually happen?
If it didn't, This is a pretty sensationalist and pointlessly provocative comment... I didn't realise my mother in law was posting on otib!

A much better way of dealing with people who take coke is to make them sit and watch a video of:
1) how it's made (barrels filled with petrol to extract the cocaine from the plant is one part),
2) how it's trafficked across the globe and how many people are killed in the process
3) how the money from the drugs trade goes directly to fund criminal and terrorist organisations to buy arms, kill people, etc etc
Education might make more of them think twice than some 10 year banning order that probably won't ever happen
I disagree, that kind of info is included in almost every documentary created on the subject and so can't see it being a deterrent.
People who want to get high will do so regardless of the punishment (as evidenced by people doing it in countries that have the death penalty for it).
Legalise, regulate and educate is the sensible solution, but it'll never happen

Awful news. Having been there a few times, it comes as no surprise that basic safety procedures weren't followed. It's a great country with amazing people but it's not for the faint of heart

With the number of nobheads that shine their phones torches at each other between the Lansdown and the Dolman, we'll probably be covered

It’s great to see the amount of youth that has taken to following us home and away. It was not uncommon to be amongst a sea of grey and bald whilst watching city not too long ago, the club have done well in that regard.
This is really good to see. Out of interest, do you know what the club do / have done to achieve this?

People who pounce on a minor grammatical or spelling error, in a post which otherwise contains a decent point about football.
It seems that some of these people are obviously waiting for such an opportunity, and have no intention of engaging in a football discussion.
Weird behaviour

Would love the whole (or even the back half) of the south stand to be standing. That would improve the atmosphere immensely
Sadly never going to happen as quieter, more passive crowds seem to be the preference
There's a thread about crap 90s football on otib at the moment. I reckon we didn't realise how crap the football was, because the crowds were more involved, and so the matchday experience was so much better
Anyway, that's enough of a middle-aged Monday morning rant!

Actually the UK police are widely regarded as the best in the world by most other countries!
Really?!
Well how come they've never caught me for my one man crimewave of knock-knock-ginger throughout backwell and the surrounding areas in the mid 90s? Obviously can't be that good

However you defend as a team and we have got to be more aggressive in midfield!
Couldn't agree with this more. I feel like it's been glaringly obvious, but unaddressed, for well over 5 seasons now.

Listened to it this morning. I find Ian fascinating. He gave it spuds about business, Neil then embarrassed him with some basic figures before an agitated Ian then bit back at Mark.
I like Neil, he's a good addition to the pod - reasoned and logical, and he actually listens. His quick figures for demonstration-sake to counter ian's COD proposal was spot on.
It's a shame Ian appears to dislike challenge / is unable to admit when wrong. If he acts like that in the business world, he must drive colleagues mad. And God help the company if he's like that with customers too!

They have one down the side of the coopers and it sticks out no more than 10cm from the wall, works just fine. Surely the club could manage that without significantly obstructing access or reducing capacity?
