I thought everyone in Liverpool, red or blue, loves each other and lives next to each other in sweet harmony?

They do... Did you not see how on the video how no one, absolutely no one, made any attempt to actually get close to the opposition fans? Preferring instead to shout a bit and just film their rivals ?

Presumably he said this mistakenly believing we could then get a fee for him?

This is the same bloke who says most weeks "it's all well and good fans saying sell palmer/ wells, but someone needs to want to buy them"

Ian needs to heed his own advice - surely the same applies to odowda? who's going to want to buy him for anything like decent money?

Wasn’t the rumour he’d been offered a new deal on hugely reduced terms? Either way, I hope we shake hands and part ways in the summer.

    Totally agree.

I was thinking the other day... odowda has been with us for 6 years... say for arguments sake he'd been on an average of 10k per week (approx 0.5m per year).

Those 6 years have cost us circa £3m in wages, and a £1m transfer fee if I recall correctly.

If there's one player that personifies our overpaying for players to sit in their comfort zone (by not developing), it is odowda.

Get rid. LEARN FROM IT. Move on.

  4. Didn't andi's wife have a kid a year or so ago?

A year after my wife gave birth I was suffering from sleep deprivation and a growing waistline due to consoling myself with beer... Couldn't even bag 20 in a season at Briz Goals after that!

Top man Weimann, I hope he's still here next season

Still a hundred times better than Clinton Morrison. I just can not listen to a commentary when he is co commentator.

Couldn't agree more. Someone on here described him as a kid that's had too much sugar, absolutely spot on!

Chris Sutton is great. Very different to most pundits. Very dry sense of humour. Nice not to listen to a cliched robot

Took me a while to realise that he's playing devil's advocate and purposely being contrary to get a rise and liven up the conversation. Once I accepted that he became much easier to stomach

He's a bit like an annoying uncle at a family do. Yeah he's annoying, but the room would be pretty dry without him

Totally ruins things and puts teams off of their rhythm….

I'd quite like it if we were put off the rhythm of losing 4 out of our last 6!

We can't come back from this international break much worse. Actually, forget I said that...

    That's not what reactionary means.

    Thanks for the correction.

I don't find them to be too reactionary, to either the positive or negative persuasion (i.e. not reverting to a previously-held positive or negative narrative) too quickly.

    Is that ok for you?

Yes I could've phrased it better, but I expect you probably could've guessed at what I was getting at instead of indulging in pedantry.

  8. Didn't see any of the game yesterday so can't comment on that... but Cundy instantly endeared himself to me when he threw Aaron Connolly to the floor like a ragdoll within 2 minutes of first coming on against Boro the other week

Any player that helps city become less of a soft touch is good with me, we've needed it for years

Surely it is a case of trying to keep the pub afloat, rather than just trying to rip off supporters.

Nail on the head mate ? I can't understand why this is being taken so personally.

It's an attempt to do something different to stop another football pub (with a strong city history) inevitably going the same way as the Wedlocks etc

  10. Are people complaining over the pub choosing to switch its prices between a cheap pint and a very cheap pint?

The tobacco factory is just shy of £6 all the bloody time ffs.

If you Don't like it, don't drink there

  11. Why we he even in the home end? There seemed to be seats in the away end.

Not saying it's right but if you celebrate in the home end, you're surely expecting a reaction. Bizarre behaviour on both accounts
