So being top over the last five means that one should expect a performance with more confidence against a struggling side like Huddersfield.
So how did we manage to give us supporters, one of the most awful displays that I've seen in a long time?
Backwards and sideways all the time. Boring and not the least bit entertaining.
Ask the Leed fans how they feel playing a side recently they should easily beat, as the cliche goes there are no easy games in the Championship.

Season isnt over 5 games is it.
And yet when we only pick up a couple of points over 5 games like we have at times we are doomed, going down, Manning is crap etc.

Despite all the moaning about Manning I just had a quick look at the last 5 results for every team in the Championship and guess what we are top with 11 points, now tell me honestly if that was our previous manager's record over the last 5 games this forum would be dreaming of better times ahead, it's a results business and you can't say manning at last is not getting them.

Context.
This season was the season where everyone expected progression.
We've regressed.
Not as far as league position or points though, I think you are looking at the past through rose-tinted specs, I would on average say we are no better or worse than we were under Pearson. I see signs of improvement albeit yesterday was pretty disappointing, as I said to you in another post 5 games unbeaten 1 goal conceded I can't prove it but I bet that record under the previous manager would have you saying what a good job he was doing.

Why can't I want us to play well all the time?
So I want us to play well but I don't want us to win?
Bizarre post.
I'm speechless, which if you knew me you would know that's a first.

Oh yes. I'm sorry. I shouldn't expect us to put in a good performance against a bottom 3 team.
Have you been on the Leeds forums? I expect Leeds Lark is saying the same things, for God's sake 5 games unbeaten one goal conceded and still the negativity.

Mate, we won 5-0 a few days ago and won 3 in a row at home prior to today! A bit of perspective!
Leeds lost at home today to a bottom-six side and they really could have done with the win, we had even less than nothing to play for against a team that really needed the win and did not lose, unlike Leeds who did, as you say a bit of perspective is needed after our 5th game unbeaten having conceded one goal, anyway, I don't know about you but having been in the Duke today surrounded by gas heads when we equalised in the 100th minute it felt like a win and wiped the smile off their faces.

And just like that all the positivity coming from the club vanishes in a puff of smoke.

A bit conflicted today. I want us to win obviously but won`t be gutted if we don`t as I so want Brum to go down.
Certainly possible both will go down, us winning today won't help Birmingham that much.

Believe it or not there are more exceptions to that rule than match the rule. Bonkers innit?
Well, I certainly now know one of them .

To be fair I spelt Leicester wrong in the OP, but you made me look like an English professor .

Appears so. Eerily reminiscent of our inexplicable capitulation in 2003 (and 2008, come to think of it).
Southampton Leicester, now that would make a good playoff final.

Well another failure in the Southwest for the foxes, could this be the night it all goes wrong for the early runaway leaders?

I still don't think we're playing really well. Leicester missed a hatful of chances and should've been out of sight. Plymouth we took our only chance, they didn't. Sunderland we were poor but not punished. Blackburn handed us 4 chances, which we took well.
I don't think the performances are much different, but we are getting a bit of luck, which has got us results.
I have to say that's a very negative spin on 4 good results, and I still don't agree that Leicester had a hatful of chances and should have been out of sight etc, don't forget we also had chances as well, we weren't lucky or outplayed in any way, and when 3 gas heads in the Duke grudgingly say we deserved the win take it from me we must have.

All Quiet on the Weston Front
Said to him on another post that he was very quick to criticise and slow to praise and tonight is the proof, he must be hiding on Weston Pier tonight with Shergar and Lord Lucan.

If we don't concede it will be the first time we have gone 4 games without conceding in NINE! years.

To be fair, in terms of success, Ipswich have long been a superior club to us
Past success maybe, but that's been a while though, if we are talking historically an awful lot of clubs could be considered superior.
Wasn’t worth it, good luck for the future…

I wasn't comparing, just pointing out to the poster expecting us to beat Huddersfield that Leeds had lost at home to Blackburn, so read my post properly before having a go, yes a few of the performances have been a bit underwhelming but it's a results business and he is certainly currently getting them, if you think Manning is going anywhere fast you will be sorely disappointed. I think you will soon be another poster having to eat humble pie, just as a few on this forum have already started to backtrack.
