Well actually I thought the 4-1 win away to Watford last year was brilliant, outstanding really. I honestly thought we would then kick on and challenge strongly for the rest of the season. We obviously didn’t. Before that Watford away game and since then, apart from Southampton and perhaps Ipswich away it’s been pretty ordinary at best, surely you’d agree? Also felt that both the Southampton and Ipswich games were an abandonment of Manningball. Remember our Manningball game at home to Leeds? He should have gone there and then really.

I have been a bit underwhelmed, but there has been a long history in football of managers being criticised by fans, then said fans had to eat humble pie as things came good, most posters were saying if only Pearson had been given a little more time things would have turned around, yet here you and a lot of other posters are having a go at a manager who has been here a lot less time, let's be patient and if things have not improved after say another half a season then have a go at him, by the way exactly what did you expect from him in such a short space of time? the personnel is not that different from when NP was here and we weren't exactly getting results then were we?

    Thanks

I may be in a growing minority like you but a lot of people still don't have or want a smartphone, mine for instance only receive calls and texts it's not that I don't understand how they work or can't afford one it's just I would rather not have one, as with parking apps, it seems we are slowly being forced into getting one whether we like it or not, a bit like electric cars (but that's for another day).

Had a dream last night that we won 8-1, Nahki Wells scored 4 in 5 minutes and I played the first half. What I couldn’t get my head around, was that we were playing Lincoln. :dunno:

Going for 4-2 city win like we did many years ago. David Speedie scored for Blackburn.
Some strange reason I’m looking forward to it tonight, COYR

Sometimes just the sheer joy you get from seeing your team win is enough, I would say a very large percentage of the games I have watched city in have had nothing at stake yet I have either left the ground with a smile on my face or been thoroughly downhearted, it just shows you care.

Yep. And let’s get it right, that was our Joey who signed those players. And that was reducing the average age following Glen Whelans retirement.

I actually don’t mind Taylor as a manager but he’s taken over a basket case. I can’t see he survives 7 games without a goal, and two of his wins have come over rock bottom Carlisle.

    It’s not funny. Obvs.😂😂😂

    Oh! yes it is.

Hardly comparable to a few points here and there though is it?

No, but they weren't demoted TWO divisions as the post I was replying to stated.

Yet Swindon were relegated 2 divisions 30 plus years ago.

They were initially, but of course the inevitable happened they appealed and their punishment was then reduced to getting demoted back to the second division.

Yep, I would go along with that.

I'll be at the game this afternoon, and as much as we all hope for an end-to-end thriller packed with incident and goals every time, I would be just as delighted to sneak a 1-0 with a fortunate deflection off Nahki's knackers from a yard out in the 96th minute 😂

I'm not sure he would be as delighted as you .

Be a laugh for a season but imagine having numerous games on a Sunday up North against the big clubs, call me old fashioned but I love a 3pm on a Saturday

The very reason after 36 years one of if not the most important reasons I no longer have a season ticket, even in the Championship they are getting rarer and with this new Sky EFL deal I think they will become rarer still.

As you said, huge 3 points for Plymouth. Could be the catalyst to keep them up.

Rotherham on the other hand are a yo-yo club, and wouldn't be surprised to see them come straight back up next year.

It must be incredibly frustrating for their fans to keep doing that, some say if we went up the same thing would happen to us, well I wouldn't mind trying to find out.

Each to their own, at 17.30 on a Saturday I prefer to watch the conference game on BT or whatever it’s called now than whatever Premier game is on Sky

Sounds a bit like cutting your nose off to spite your face, if that's what you want fair play but it's you missing out on some great entertainment without the pressure of actually caring who wins, I find it makes a pleasant change.
