My first boots were probably of the winfield variety from Woolworths! Remember having golas and Patrick’s after that. This thread made me look up some of the footballs of yesteryear , anyone remember the orange plastic mitre mouldmaster balls that they used at schools? Thick orange plastic with dimples on . The sounds of the day were a ‘poink’ as someone put their laces into one , closely followed by a loud smack and a scream as it impacted on someone else’s inner thigh! Brutal they were!

Remember those and also had the orange captains ball as a kid.An uncle gave me one of the old leather lace up balls , weighed a ton when wet but our lane was lined with hedges .Punctures were no problem though , undo the laces , take out the bladder and stick a bike repair patch on and away you go!

If you’ve got young un’s that play football Saturday lunchtime kickoffs means either struggling to make it in time for games or missing them altogether

The splat robin on the yellow kit was a big mistake, would have sold many more if it had the round badge. I don’t think the yellow colour itself is so much of a problem

They have stock in the shop, my mate got a shirt for my girl that is showing sold out online so they’ve obviously got separate online stock and instore stock. I’m guessing the in store stock will sell out quickly though if it’s showing sold out online

What a joke,you’d expect they’d have more stock than that. There are no shirts of any of the 3 kits in 10-11yr olds size now. Surely it can’t be that hard to get these things right?

Wish they’d hurry up, my daughter has a season ticket voucher for a shirt. No home kits in her size and the yellow splat robin special looks awful so she’s holding out for a hopefully better away top. The chances of it being both better and having one in her size are probably remote though!

Yep that’s kinda what I was implying. They are calling it temporary,it’s all they can afford to build but really it’s long term
