  1. My girl was a mascot for the Watford game, was a brilliant day, we all really enjoyed it. You all get to see the changing room etc , go pitch side via the tunnel. Mascots go off to meet the players whilst the rest of your party go up to the Heineken lounge for food and the kids join you when they are done. ( If they want autographs then take a pen and something to sign , we bought a city calendar for that)Then mascots go down for a pitch side warm up which is good for taking their mind off of being nervous ! After going out with the players they bring them up to where you’ll be sitting in front of the Heineken lounge. I’d say it’s worth every penny,it’s something they’ll always remember.
  2. I’ve got bad memories of that place after watching that city v rovers game that was on the last Friday before Xmas years ago. Seemed like a good idea until my mate got whacked over the head with a pool cue! That’s a good suggestion, cheers matey
  3. Funnily enough I’m looking for something similar, Everton supporting father in law over from France next week and wants to watch Merseyside derby Monday night in a pub with food and we’ll have my daughter (11) with us. We are in Kingswood so anywhere a short drive from there would be good, any suggestions would be great. ( sorry to jump in on your thread AIS !)
  4. They must have been low on rusks, you’d have thought their mums would have been more organised
  5. Some of us go “commando “ ,what are we supposed to do?!
  6. I wondered how long it would be before someone said that! ?
  7. The boss has just sorted it, told you he was a good bloke! ( and he’s paying for them!)Thanks for your help anyway ?
  8. Thanks, I thought the phone lines were only manned on Wednesday for priority 1 sales but will give it a go.
  9. Anyone know the answer to this conundrum. My boss bought myself and my daughter season tickets through the company account back in September for my 30 years service ,( he’s a very good boss!) but the tickets are in our names with different supporter IDs to the ones I’d already bought memberships on. Our tickets still show up on the company account but when he clicks on the link to buy it just goes to a blank page. He’s sent an email but I’m guessing it will probably have to be sorted over the phone on Wednesday unless anyone has any other ideas?
  10. I remember playing on one of the pitches there, the infamous “superbowl “ The centre circle was about 8ft lower than both goal mouths!
  11. “ can you explain to me why it’s necessary to have a pair of Bristol Citys “ !
  12. Missed the buckets somehow at the gate so have donated online ?
  13. Oh yes, there’s a picture of me in a photo album round my parents house wearing an Umbro city tracksuit in the late 70s I’m guessing. Flarey nice !
  14. A mate of mine was helping to run the 3rd team at the club I played for, they needed a new bag for the match and training balls. He instantly regretted doing a Google search for a ‘massive ball bag’!
  15. You’d think there was something that could be retro fitted to some of the older diesels to make them run cleaner ? Maybe there is but I guess they just want diesels off the road.
  16. Is it me or is that hi-tech stage seriously lopsided?
  17. All looks championship ready to me ?
  18. I had to endure the pain of watching hour upon hour of street dance competitions , sometimes as far away as the midlands! Thankfully she’s given it up to concentrate on football! As you say time and expense is a problem. Hope it all works out and she becomes a life long City fan .
  19. Glad she enjoyed it?. At that age it’s more about being out and about than the actual football so she did well lasting that long watching the game. To be honest I thought girls football would be a big commitment but it’s not too bad,it’s pretty relaxed . Definitely good for them to be involved in a team game outside of school and build another circle of friends. You should take her to a City game so she can endure a lifetime of frustration like the rest of us!
  20. That’s a good age to start taking them to games. My girl was 5 when I took her to her first city game, she was hooked straight away , loves the whole day out , bus ride into town, walk round the harbour side and then the pub ( ok she moans a bit about about the 2hrs in the pub!). 5 is probably a good age to start her playing as well if she’s interested, my girl started at 10 last year and moans that I should have got her into it earlier! Hope she enjoyed it today .
  21. He should just get himself a T shirt made with ‘I am a bellend’ printed on it in large letters and save his breath.
  22. Wonder if their new signing went arse over tit falling over that health and safety disaster of a down pipe extension?!
