  1. Setting aside our own form for a minute , it has to be said that post lockdown the ridiculous gulf between the sides with Prem money on board and those without ( and struggling financially now) is utterly laughable this season . The top 3 will , if present trends continue , be approx 30-40 points clear of the 7th placed side by the and of the season . Bournemouth are presently creating a gap of 0.8 points per game between them and 7 th spot ! Whatever happened to anyone can beat anyone in this league ?

There’s some “old player” chants that I would be all for singing even now.
Super Scott usually sung @ away games- no reason this can’t be one sung during the game or at home IMO

we had the HNM one yesterday despite him being in the squad, so actually no reason why we can’t just bring back some older ones to keep the atmosphere going.

I like the “here’s to you Robert Atkinson” song, that one needs some more airtime!

Always loved the effort put into the song we had for Norman Hunter to the tune of Amazing Grace . Literally contained one word repeated 14 times “ Norman “ ??

  3. Funniest one I remember was “ my old man said be a Rovers fan , I said …… . My mum always mis heard that one and always thought it ended “Bob Bob Wallace you’re a ****” . I remember she eventually asked my old man who Bob Wallace was and why City fans didn’t like him ! ??

  4. Sat next to a fella yesterday who wasn’t too keen on the quality of the songs at the Gate these days and  it got me thinking of the chants of old . All time classics such as “ you’re gonna get your ******* heads kicked in” and “ you’ll never take the East End “ remind me of my formative years in the East End . My all time fav being the one about eating a dead cat from a dustbin , I just wondered what other little ditties are most missed from yester year ? Many for various reasons clearly won’t have aged well but just thought I’d throw the question out there !

This should have been marked by the club today, I went to Newport thinking it may be the last time ever watching City as a league club, times have changed but this should never be forgotten.

Remember that game well.  The away end had no terracing and was just a sloped stretch of gravel as I recall !

    3 points of the playoffs

    9 games still to play

    5 of them at home

we still have to play boro, blades,Millwall,

    players returning from injuries

i cant believe people are waiting our season off!!

Coyr or as my mate would say ctid.

Totally agree . How can we accuse the club or players of giving up if we do exactly that ?? I for one want to look in the mirror on 6th May knowing that I didn't give up. I won't be sat there with my arms folded and my bottom lip touching the floor for the rest of the season !

  7. This from Paul Lambert on BBC Sport: "

"Maybe their crowd will come and, if they don't get off to great start, are going to criticise. We have to make sure we use that to put even more pressure on them."

I want LJ gone as much as anyone but let's NOT give Lambert what he wants . I for one want to be able to look in the mittor at 5-00 tonight knowing I'd played my part today to help my club and not the opposion. If we can play like we did against Huddersfield there's no reason we cant have a repeat performace !
