  1. Nice little boost! Replaces Meerholz in the 19. Let’s hope it’s not the last good news of the day Injured: McCrorie Atkinson Naismith Roberts King Benarous
  2. Is anyone even showing it? Or will we have to get creative?
  3. We don’t need to argue. We argue with fans of other clubs, not each other! I agree - the Lansdown’s are not the answer. I was a fence sitter, swayed by the pretty ground and facilities, but the Pearson debacle spelled out for me they will make decisions not in the interest of the club, but in the interest of hiring people afraid to oppose them. That’s no good. The club has to be the first priority. But if you’re asking me to ‘vote with my feet’ so to speak, I can’t do it. Watching City is my favourite thing to do, going to matches with my Dad and sharing this obsession with him is just too important to me. If that’s something you want to do - I respect it. Even applaud it, as it does send a message.
  4. Well yes, I have less decision making power than the literal billionaires who own and poorly run it. But I’d go and watch City in the National League South away at Weston if it came to it. Because they are my club.
  5. I do want the Lansdown’s to sell but I’ll be damned if they stop me going to watch my club.
  6. I’m going to that, my first time at Home Park despite Plymouth being my university City. I’ve promised my dad I’ll take him to all the cool student bars after the game, what could go wrong
  7. Blackburn were on a losing run. Didn't guarantee us three points going in.
  8. I do think we can win for two reasons, Dickie and Vyner. If we keep it solid at the back you can always nick a result. We'll need an improved performance and a slice of luck but worth remembering this is Sunderland, not Leicester... or Bayern.
  9. No new knocks yesterday that I saw. Here's hoping for a fresh face or two come Saturday. Injured: McCrorie Atkinson Naismith Roberts King Benarous Wells
  10. I think 90% of frustrated fans aren't frustrated with Manning. They're frustrated that for the first time in years we were looking up the table, the Lansdown's inexplicably decided that was the time for a change, and now we're back to looking over our shoulder. We've wasted many years as is, but never by actively choosing to do so.
  11. I answered no, but we do have a good squad. Good enough to compete in the right circumstances.
  12. We have a couple of lines of defence before needing to worry about the drop. 1. Players back from injury. Wells improves the function of our attack, Naismith will boost our creativity, Ross McCrorie is an exciting unknown quantity. 2. January. If it’s looking bad, they Lansdown’s will spend. They know they got us into this mess and they will cover their asses. 3. Sheffield Wednesday are ass. That’s one spot gone. Rotherham not much better, that’s two. I honestly believe this squad of ours, when mostly/fully fit, is mid table at the very least. We have honest, talented players. They’re struggling in a new system and low on confidence, but they are good.
  13. For sure, but imagine refusing to spend the Scott money on new players (nest egg etc.) then having to piss a portion of it on sacking a manager. Makes my stomach turn!
  14. Timid, cowardly, feeble. One of my absolute favourite words.
  15. 3.5 year contract. Paying him out would be very very pricey, and a catastrophic waste of money. Not an option for me.
  16. It feels like everyone’s losing at the moment, he was clearly onto something at Oxford. May well have had a League title on his CV come May. Poor bloke looks downbeat.
  17. He speaks well and the Lansdown’s lap that up. I keep saying it, I’m not anti-LM, my disappointment is in J and SL. The 3.5 year contract was the final shoddy decision on top of the shoddy decision pie they baked.
  18. It’s amazing to me that people genuinely can’t see the good he did for our club. Astounding levels of head-in-sand.
  19. Don’t think OP suggested he should be fired. The decision to sack Nige was wrong but sacking LM 6 games in isn’t the answer. I did suggest when we incorrectly dismissed Nige going for a ‘stop-gap’ manager til the seasons end. So if it all went to pot as expected we could reassess come summer. Fleming in interim or even a Hail Mary Warnock type! As it is, LM is contracted until the summer of 2026 so has to make this work as dismissal would cost a fair chunk of the Scott money. Here’s hoping he does.
  20. Too milquetoast to work with a manager who would tell him the truth, so punishes the fan base! It is a shame.
  21. It is relegation form but we should be fine this season. That is the portion of the table I’ll be checking from here on out though. Cheers Jonny boy! I was getting fed up of seeing us chase the play offs
  22. A bad decision continues to age poorly. I think it’ll come good with LM, but it’s entirely at the cost of this seasons League campaign so there will always be a ‘what if’ about it. 45 to turn it around. We will have to start shooting though.
  23. We need a Robins TV/audio feed wellness thread that we just bump each match. These are endless.
  24. Entirely the same group of players for the third Matchday in a row. Unheard of consistency for us! I like it. Hopefully my mood will be lifted ever further by three points tonight and maybe a returnee or two on Saturday? Hopefully not asking too much! COYR. ️ Injured: McCrorie Atkinson Naismith Roberts King Benarous Wells
  25. Couldn't sleep last night wondering what the fanbase made of the importance of baby showers, big relief finding this thread this morning!
