Can someone please explain the logic of two subs coming on in 89th minute when we are 2-0 down and don’t look like scoring if we played another 90 minutes?
To add an appearance to their season's stats. Sometimes contracts and/or bonuses can be tied to appearances.

Fortunately LJ wasn’t playing in that game……….
I know, but I bet it was his pre-game Powerpoints, "box entries" and the height of the grass that really won the game.

EFL boss sacked TWICE already this season offers to help coaches on LinkedIn (msn.com)
Now offering his knowledge to potential coaches. Bet 'I beat Man Utd' comes up a lot.

Firstly, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t being used yesterday or in any cup game over the third round, but others around me said it was. Anyone confirm please.
Secondly, I hope we never have to experience VAR! The thought of not celebrating Conway’s goal yesterday until we were allowed to do so would have been a terrible experience. Granted he was onside by a mile so it wouldn’t take that long to give, but the whole moment would have been ruined. I don’t know how fans in the premier league put up with something like that on a weekly basis.
Calvert-Lewin was sent off after a VAR check in the first game of the round.

Sure it's been covered elsewhere, but as we're at a Prem ground on Sunday does that mean we'll have VAR?

In the modern game , red every day , foot off floor , studs first
No intent but dangerous / reckless
But in the context of that tackle it was neither dangerous or reckless.

The reason given for not showing any 3.00pm ko live is that "fans might stay at home to watch a game rather than attend their local match"
And yet they create KO times that prohibit or make it difficult for fans to go to games!

My solution to this is that if a STH fails to attend X amount of home games (without a good reason) then they forfeit their seat.
I simply refuse to believe that we have 1000s buying adult season tickets and then not attending.
These empty seats are kid STs..
What would be a good reason? And how will the club know if it is the truth?

Our final ball is abysmal, decision making in the final 3rd is poor
We are winning the ball back in good areas but not making the most of opportunities
Just stopped and now Sunderland game
Oddly mine stopped just as the missus came into the room. Coincidence???

Meanwhile old Bill Grundy himself found he wasn't trusted by any producers and effectively was retired from the business
Funny how Grundy said 'Their heroes are not the nice clean Rolling Stones'. Clearly didn't know much about that band!

Why aren't Southampton using the multi ball system? None are positioned around the pitch and you can see the players waiting for the ball to come back from the crowd.
Scrap that... I think I can see a few balls. It's just ball boys/girls aren't keen to use them!

Preventing a goal scoring opportunity is the obvious one.
Ten minutes off the pitch to 'cool down' seems too lenient for this offence. It might actually serve to encourage players to foul.

Also trialling a rule that only captains can approach the ref during the game. How is that supposed work if the play is at one end of the park and the captain is a defender or keeper?

May as well pack up and go home. Never ever a penalty. Happens at every corner.

Not sure this will go down well with fans and might make him even more unpopular.
People are not booing the player - more the decision of the manager to play the particular player. Happens all the time.

What about red cards that are rescinded? Should these games be replayed too? Removing or downgrading the card shows the on-field decision was an error.
If (and I think it's a big 'if') the game is replayed the Premier League would have opened Pandora's box, whilst creating a pay day for all the club's lawyers!

As they're resubmitting the Planning Permission does that me we get the fun of reading all their comments of approval again?

Silly fouls and a shocking one at the very end of the game. Wasn't sure if the ref only gave a yellow as he was going to blow the whistle a second later. Even at a his young age, he must know you can't do things like that.

Crossing at Gaol Ferry Bridge leaves you with a long, dull, polluted and noisy trek up Coronation Rd.
But we've got the lovely CAZ. Should all smell of roses now?!

No mention on TV of the booing our anthem and then praising the atmosphere during theirs. Hope we hammer em.

It certainly used to be the case at others clubs, maybe not ours. Especially with senior players.
