Not seen a player called out like that since, i don't know when. Big gamble doing it publicly. It certainly sounds like his Rovers career is done whilst Barton is in charge. And to think he was something of a high profile signing for them. Probably one of their higher earners as well.

I do remember walking past one evening only to see a chair half sticking through one of the windows! The one time i was there and it kicked off, it did all start around the pool tables involving a large group of guys, could well of been the 'Pompey incident'. I did not hang around long enough to find out ?.

I grew up in Horfield just a few streets away from The 'Felly'. It certainly had a reputation in the local area. I only used to pop in for a pint once in a while, usually in the day time for a game of pool etc as the one time i was there on a Saturday evening, it kicked right off. Much preferred a crawl down the Glos Rd. As far as i remember it was owned by our ex-director Ernie Arathoon and his mate Pongo(Steve?) along with a couple of other pubs in the Lockleaze area. Could be a bit of a troublesome place but you certainly did not mess about on Pongo and Ernie's watch! Perhaps it was more City as it was one of Ernie's but Horfield cerainly had a good mix of red and blue back then, early to mid 90s.

Rovers lad got a 2nd yellow for kicking the ball away! Classic Smith strike there, cuts in from the right and curls it into the far corner. Nice.

I think the majority of their fans would welcome him back like some kind of messiah. It would amuse me to see him go to Northampton instead but i don't think he would walk away for them, almost certain to be back at the fewers.

I'm sure one of their callers on RB yesterday said from a points per game average, they were better under Garner. They're in trouble.

I think in the same number of games this season as Garner, Tisdale has somehow done worse. That takes some doing, Garner was dog shite.
