  1. Could only think of him and one other... ...and that was it!
  2. Which player off of the conveyor belt of international footballers they've sold to the world are they referring to?
  3. Darren Ferguson gets it... "...he is ready for this step-up to a team that is trying to get into the Championship."
  4. Just reading some reaction to him leaving on the Post website from Gasheads. Got to love this one... "Thanks for your service and effort Ollie. Magic moments like your goal at Eastleigh away will never be forgotten." Your damn right it wont, Non League Bristol Rovers. We're never forgetting that either!
  5. Redpole needs flag to fly ?
  6. Q: Clubs losing £3m+ a year, what are you doing to reduce that? A: I'm building a training ground to help with future sustainability. Yeh, that should do it keep going.
  7. Seems like Wally learnt his lesson when Higgs lumbered him with a polished turd. I'm sure at this point he's just applying a fresh coat of polish before moving it on and breaking even or making a small profit now he's had his fun with it.
  8. Outside investment. He wont be the sole owner for long or if he is, neither he nor anyone else associated with the club will own the stadium, it will likely be multiple 3rd parties. Give the sums still needed for the training ground, infrastructure and investment in the team, it's either a ridiculous time to be doing this given the current climate or a brilliant one. I really don't know.
  9. Such a lucrative investment opportunity coming up and yet his family want no part in it. Interesting. Selling up? Can't see him clearing that much debt out of the goodness of his heart.
  10. They wont be paying for it. Id expect 90% of the cost to be paid by sources outside the club. They sell The Mem, Wally gets his money back and he chucks the rest via one of his overseas operations at the new stadium leaving him with a small percentage. Rovers pay and own nothing come the end. All the other non matchday income would go to the stadium owners. At least that's how i see it ?
  11. But fair to say the majority of the funding is from outside the club?
  12. The ground has just been ploughed at the colony. Plenty of room for a training pitch and an allotment. Ah The Good Life!
  13. Absolutely. Lets be honest, they have an abysmal record of delivering anything they've promised since they arrived. They'll do the bare minimum at very best and even then it'll be to suit their interests and not for the benefit of the club in the long term. Also been somewhat forced into this have they not? Can't stay at the current site anymore?
  14. Hahaha they'll be lucky if phase 1 amounts to anything more than the grass getting a cut and a portacabin being dropped on site. Don't think it will ever really start properly let alone finish.
  15. It's just missing Clarke, Cockman and Garner clinging onto the bars wondering what could of been. Mattress adds an artistic touch. Beautiful.
  16. You can even upload your own photo. Shame it doesn't preview them, plenty of images i could think of adding.
  17. Absolute Tour de Force. Hold tight at the back.
  18. It's a personal fav of mine. That little whiteboard with BRFC, the famous not exact quarterzzzzz. Timpot.
  19. Incredible statement. Their turd to glitter ratio is still well off though.
  20. The comments are worth a read as well.... Sean Davidson I think the plans are good but we should put the capacity to 20,000 because i am shor that on big games we have at home we could easly have that amount. because if you look at the johnstone paint final and the play off final we had 40,000 ish so if we choose to upgrad the capacity of the pains I think it would be a grate ider not just as a bristol rovers fan but as a bristol rugby fan! dan govier i think the capacity should be 20,000 as of how many went to cardif and wembley. the nicer and bigger the stadium more fans will whant to come. And the club will get more money so we can bring in better players to the team. josh i think its a great idea cuz weve been playing in crap stadiums for ages. were a good club its time we have a good stadium Even back then though, they still had that rare one that comes along now and again switched on... rovers till i die we dont sell out enough 4 a new and bigger ground
  21. Just been to my local Sainsbury's - couldn't help notice all the staff are wearing body cams. Not seen that before.
  22. It's the sort of temporary thing non league teams have installed when they get a good home draw in the FA cup. They'll be putting an actual thatched roof on that Thatchers 'stand' next.
  23. If Lyle Taylor comes here, it's our fault for Charlton signing JCH.
