  1. The cynic in me thinks Mercedes second protest regarding Max overtaking whilst under the safety car which he did for about a second will be used to get the fia off the hook
  2. As Brundle pointed out who’d replace him, due to the circumstances of how he got the job he needs some experienced help
  3. Except as Rosberg pointed out expecting the rules to be applied correctly played a part in their decision making, plus if Hamilton pitted he’d have lost track position
  4. They were desperate for it not to end under the safety car but it still has to have some fairness about it
  5. Rain and a car on the wrong tyres isn’t quite the same as losing a 13 second lead to a safety car and then the rules being suddenly changed for the good of the show. Going by that Lewis was fortunate in 2008 but Max seriously lucked out here
  6. Two protests have been launched, So we could go from a unsatisfactory way of deciding the champion to a even more unsatisfactory one
  7. You have to wonder whether Mercedes’ will be protesting the result given rules were made up for the good of the show which disadvantaged the lead car
  8. It was more a rhetorical question than criticism. Just curious as it seems a very British thing wanting the British guy to lose to make it more interesting
  9. I wonder if German fans thought that when Schumacher won fives years in a row and Vettel four in a row At least with Red Bull starting on the softs there should be some intrigue regarding strategy tomorrow
  10. I thought it was Mazepin, as it wasn’t a race i doubt the point was awarded as that would’ve been one farce too many
  11. That’ll please the armchair twitter fans who’ve convinced themselves that if Max wins it’s because of the driver and if it’s Lewis it must be the car. It does amaze me how they let a F1 driver/team live rent free in their head
  12. I assume you don’t mean the former spurs player
  13. Difference is that was in a sporting context whereas that two lap procession was a cynical exercise. Although if countback then goes to who has the most second places i assume Max would win then
  14. A scenario nobody’s mentioned is Max’s extra ‘win’ was the cynical two lap procession in Belgium.
  15. I bought the Christmas double edition of the radio times yesterday having not done so since last Christmas. Almost like a tradition I’m not ready to let go of
  16. But Tevez literally scored the goal that kept West Ham up that season. The Wycombe scenario is a little more cloudy as it was actually a Marlon Pack goal for Cardiff that kept Derby up. Although morally of course Derby should’ve been relegated having used every delaying tactic they could Theres no way Steve Gibson can prove Derby prevented his side getting promoted as all it cost them was a place in the semi final. And by that logic couldn’t Derby have sued QPR and Villa who beat them in play off finals having cheated on FFP?
  17. https://www.classicfootballshirts.co.uk Shop is near Aldgate but assume they also deliver
  18. I wasn’t there but that was we the first thing i thought of watching that, must’ve been eary for the Wednesday supporters to see it all season you’d have thought they’d have attempted to cover it or something
  19. It seems it was more about getting to the drs zone second. Maybe they need to consider a rule for such a eventuality
  20. 1pm They have to be seen to be consistent and so he got the standard penalty for causing a collision. Besides F1 now has the race it wants on Sunday with both drivers being on the same points. I never bought that they wanted Max to win as the scenario they’ve got is more valuable for increasing global exposure and the worldwide tv audience
  21. Pretty sure the competition rules give them 15% of the capacity which would give them the whole Atyeo stand, hopefully it doesn’t happen as would be more trouble than it’s worth with nothing to gain
  22. Has gone largely unnoticed with what happened at the front but for me the result of the day was Mazepin escaping without serious injury after a collision (for once not his fault) that reminded me of Billy Mongers which cost him both of his legs
  23. So was he one of Derby’s or one of ours? Was all a little bizarre
  24. Premiership ref so probably wondering what the hell he’s doing here
