  1. Fortunate Swansea aren't very good and Mr Reliable Rob Dickie could hit the target, without him we'd crumble.

He's gunna get given the nest egg in the summer, spunk millions down the drain and we'll still be midtable/bottom half playing pattern based mindnumbing football and struggle to break down teams who don't want the ball.

The football under Pearson wasn't expansive but it was hardworking and relentless, it's easier to give young lads opportunities when the football is more simplified. You won't see any youth players coming through now when he's desperate for results.

He's not a risk taker. He is calculated and sticks to his 'perfect plan'.

See how we do with the loss of the experienced players in the summer. What players will want to come and play football for Manning?

The pathway will be killed and one of the my favourite bits is when a youth player gets a chance in the first team, even if they don't make it. I'd rather that then some fluff pass merchants filling the bench up.

  2. We had that already before the regime change.

All we needed was a bit of creativity in the middle and wide areas and we could have been a top half side knocking on the door of the playoffs.

It's gone from resilient to soft touch. From determined to switching off. Passion and fight to frustration and togetherness to a divided fanbase.

We had everyone pushing in the same direction, the ship was turning. We've scraped another iceberg. Best hope we stay afloat.

  3. It's always different against teams who have the ball more than us. We show our strengths then.

You won't see these types of performance against Millwall, Sheff Wed, QPR - just for examples. The majority of games just won't go that way because of the dynamic of the game.

We gotta hope more teams want to dominate the ball against us so we can counter otherwise it's going to be a struggle.

Dreading looking at the fixture list. Can't think of the last time we beat a team when we had more of the ball.

  4. No clean sheets in the league in 2024.

Played well when we played forward and didn't faff about passing it back at every opportunity.

Less possession and a better performance attacking wise. It's almost like the whole season in a nutshell. When we actually beat a team who sits in then come talk to me.

Not too angry at the result as its their season and they work hard enough for things to fall their way, happened all season for them. To beat teams in form like that you got to do more than enough and we didn't tonight.

If you want to look at a team and how to play deep possession ball and how to convert it into long balls and quick attacks down the flanks, that's the team you want to watch.

They play the ball backwards and sideways with intent to create space for players who will drive the ball forward. We don't. That's the difference.

  5. Similar to the home game against them, decent performance off the ball, pinching it well.

Gotta be more brave when we get the chance to get forward. Showing them too much respect, it's a winnable game.

It's okay to play it back to keep possession and kill the opponents momentum, but it shouldn't be our whole identity.

We aren't good enough to break teams down from the back, just losing the ball constantly when we play out.

  6. Do we HAVE to go back every time we win the ball back. The amount of times we pinch the ball in an area and we pass back when there's space to move in to.

We are doing half decent in pinching the ball and can drive into space but nope gotta recycle it back and let them settle.

Drives me insane, the chance is there to catch them out. So passive.

  7. Think he's had some words in his ear about showing some emotions. 🐍

You shouldn't have to say it to get your point across. It should just be natural.

He isn't an authoritative man. That's what he was hired for. Can't upset the apple cart.

We could finish 21st and he'll still be here. Lord I hope the football gets better to watch.

I'm not particularly bothered about reaching the Prem, just want to see a real hard working identity - battling for the ball, proud to wear our shirt.

Feels like all the arduous effort and work is being dumped down the drain.

  8. You'll see Ipswich do it tomorrow. But their players aren't afraid to play in tight spaces at the back and invite pressure to play around it and leave players like Chaplin/Taylor in free gaps in the middle or Davis/Clarke at full backs to then play forward.

They don't hoof it long often because their set up is good enough with the wide players dropping inside to offer options too.

Other teams don't play like that for the sake of it like we try to do. They do it for a reason. We try it because "it's the way to play".

    Manningball unite. Zzz.

  9. Swear he used to say it didn't matter if Pearson had injuries to his squad. Work with what you've got and now Manning has some injuries it's the first thing he calls to as an excuse.

    What a Muppet.

Do you want to hear from Ian Gay? I know we all do. Apparently it was all down to the injuries and we don’t have a big enough squad and we shouldn’t sack Manning due to cost.

    Total belter.

That’s not true. If our form over the last five games continues then we will be more than fine

That's not true. If our form over the last three games continues then we definitely won't be fine.

I'm sure we will pick up some points somewhere and be safe but after what I've been watching under Manning I wouldn't rule it out.

  11. We must be the easiest team to play against in the Championship at the moment.

I've said it before but remember when we we had the second best defensive record in the division?

He's turned a resilient hard working bunch of lads into a soft touch.

All we needed under Pearson was a bit more quality and trickery in the final third and we could have been a serious top half contender.

Our most consistent forward Sykes stuck out on the left side because of his fascination with the two tens sitting next to the striker who just can't play those roles. Said months ago that Vyner didn't look comfortable playing this style and I've been confirmed right. The whole team doesn't.

Our starboy striker starved for service and will go for peanuts in the summer and flourish elsewhere.

I wouldn't trust a single penny with this P.E teacher, it is so Bristol City to turn the barge around slowly and then throw the man at the wheel overboard just to hit an iceberg.

20 points in 23 games. We are in relegation form under this 'head coach'.

Pearson got more out of a team from his bedside then this idiot does 'On The Grass' each week.

I don't mind losing as long as the football we try to play is aggressive and shows a lack of intent. This is the absolute opposite.

    It's so frustrating.

A few weeks ago we were playing with pace, high press and passion, to the extent that we beat a Prem team, held another for 120 minutes and stuffed the 'unbeatable' Southampton.

So the squad has it in them but why has it disappeared?

Because we played like we did under NP, less of the ball, more intensity and acting on instinct.

We try to play the Manning front-foot-football against the other sides who give us possession and we are dreadful and boring week after week.
