Bell at Wingback, persisting with Knight in the forward position, oh dear.
Hope Wells can take his opportunity.
-
Different striker won't make much difference, still will be feeding off scraps.
Need a proper forward/ creative player in that right side slot instead of Knight, preferably Sykes when he returns.
Have a feeling he won't get many chances now and might get shunted to wingback cover like Bell is doing.

Tanner and Vyner's best games under Manning, thought they were brilliant.
Knight in that forward position is a problem if we want to create anything, can't be expecting Mehmeti to drop in and Pring to bomb on every time, its too predictable.
Neither team really created much, they probably had the better of the few chances.
Thought all the subs contributed a fair amount.

Bit a bravery from Cornick, driving us forward, we need more of that in our team. Not keeping possession for the sake of it.
-
Bell at RWB again...
McCrorie gotta start getting more minutes soon.
-
Really don't like Knight in that forward position, kills all momentum when he gets the ball.
-
Played pretty well, just wish we were a bit braver.
These lot aint gunna press us with their front line. We're gunna play the ball about fine at the back but need to do more to create.
Everytime we tried to run in behind we look like causing them problems, just not seen enough of it.
Just have a feeling we'll get too comfortable and lose the ball doing too many needless passes. Hudson-Odoi and Danilo look the main threats for them and Gibbs-White might come on and cause issues.
COYR.

It's a fair point based on how the game went.
They created more from open play then we did. I'm just bored of the same passive formation, why not push Bell left wing instead of RWB every time where he contributes nothing with his skill set. Get Twine alongside Conway/Wells, just anything trying to push the game our way.
We need to create more at home if we want to beat teams.
Sides fighting for their life at the bottom would have lapped up how we played today.
Show a bit more aggression, a bit more urgency instead of the same old patterns of play and behaviours. Pring once again driving us on and trying to be the difference maker, we'd miss him if he got injured. Wish we had a bit more of that.
We don't have to be world-beaters knocking the ball about, just a bit more pace in the play, get people out of their seats, get them shouting and driving the team forward.
I look at the clock and 35 minutes disappear and nothing substantial happens.
Twine debut was fine, just needs others moving off him to create more, him and Mehmeti and Sykes would be a great attacking 3 in behind a striker.
-
Do we have to stay in the same formation for the whole 90 minutes every game?
We're so easy to read, mix it up a bit, give them something different to think about.

Can't get the ball out of our half at the moment. Just no pace up front, so slow.
-
Twine looking much more influential down the middle, don't need him stuck out on the left.
-
SPH with a goal against Deadpool FC, good loan for him so far.
Well done Max. They really should have scored then.
Can Robinstv stop calling Chakvetadze Jacktheladze, can he read people's names? It's not like he's an unknown, he scored past us a few weeks ago!
-
Atleast Twine can head the ball unlike Mehmeti, good ball from Max and Conway's getting a knack for pinching in ahead of defenders/goalies ain't he.
Gotta be a bit more aggressive, we can cause these problems with a bit of confidence, go at them.

Won't cause these lot many problems with this passive play, always gotta go back all the time.
Everyone isolated, Knight doesn't do much in that forward position without Sykes there.
Twine ain't no different to Mehmeti in that position.
-
Hell of a winger too, him and Jimmy Kebe on the wings at Reading were a proper threat

Good fight and put it on them, couldn't handle it with the dwindling numbers.
Wish we did a bit more on the ball when we got opportunities to get forward.
Scored off a mistake and other than that it wasn't too much.
I like the formation and style for keeping the ball but creating I still think it's a problem.
Williams and James were top tonight. Really set the tone pinching the ball constantly and strong challenges. More of that please!
-
Couldn't do this shithousery in the league where it matters could we?
Hate how we persevere with the same formation. What good is Bell at RWB or Wells on his own up top?

I wonder what happened the last time we signed players without thinking to the future.
I hope scattergun signings like this don't become the norm again like MA/LJ times.
We've got to keep evolving and growing our squad.
This definitely improves us in the short-term which is needed but long term without an option it's very underwhelming and I bet the loan fee is into the 100k's at least with fair prem wages on top.
Decent player, he's gotta perform from the start, he isn't here for long.

Enjoy him for 6 months in mindnumbing sleepball, hope he can bring a spark and make the play a little more exciting.
Board point of view? Desperate. Get off our backs signing.
No future upside is disappointing but good luck Scott.

More patterns and behaviours

Don't think he should be playing in the position he does.
Not creative or clinical enough.

Preferred the high press identity under Nige. Even if we weren't the best on the ball and it was scrappy, at least we were going at teams and fighting for every ball.
Now it's just recycling the ball if "the opportunity" doesn't open up. And we've sacrificed what made us a dangerous team earlier in the season to do so.
Same old City, so flat against teams who don't leave gaps. Just hasn't felt fun to watch under Manning so far for me personally. Feels like the personality has been sucked out of the team. Trying to be something we're not.

Only difference is that our press is weaker and that we'd rather have the ball at the back a bit more.
Not fun to watch either.

Need someone with conviction in that right side attacking spot, Knight kills us every time on the ball.
Started well, Coventry look real shaky without Sheaf.
