  1. Jason Knight off the ball work is £20m worth but on it he's worth about £200k - he's got enough quality, looks like a rabbit in headlights when he gets it sometimes
  2. safe passes every time, no creativity or drive in that midfield
  3. Thought he was finishing his round of golf
  4. No way on earth we are a top ten budget in this league still. In the past without a doubt but now I don't believe that.
  5. Looks like finishing his round of golf was more important.
  6. Just a feeling but think he's probably spoken to us and seen the constraints and said no thank you. Derby wanted him prior as Warne is on the edge there and he just got the 'clubs backing' the other day. Maybe they asked him if he would be interested but he's been speaking to others like us, Millwall etc. An agent has probably given news to the press that he's spoken to us hence the rush to get that headline first. Think Derby might now be interested again if Eustace has seen what's going on with us and decided against it with Jones seemingly going Millwall and our lot being basketcases. He also has links up there too. He's probably the best available too which is a shame. On to the next yes-man, it seems.
  7. How long till he's had enough and the hierarchy turn on him, going in circles.
  8. Slide down the table with an inexperienced head coach and a threadbare squad for it to turn toxic for the new man and then to invite Colin to save us from relegation and then the cycle repeats itself once again. I'd take Warnock over most of the names banded about right now, at least it'd be funny with him in charge.
  9. It's going to be the same old story of some half decent managers interviewing for the role, seeing all of the restrictions Nige was under being continued and them saying no thanks just like the applicants before Holden got given the job. The manager (sorry, head-coach) will have to answer to BT who answers to JL/SL and we're just gunna take two steps back again.
  10. Hourihane new coach or head coach that'll do as he's told and Wheatley as new fitness guy? Oh dear.
  11. He isn't being held hostage, he's part of the problem. SL, JL and BT didn't want Nige around upsetting them anymore. BT has previous with getting Danny Wilson out the door to get his opportunity. Yeah Wilson wasn't perfect but the way he got pushed didn't settle right with me. BT didn't answer the question about the club not investing enough money in the summer, he's towing the party line so he has his nice cushty job working for father Steve. Same old Bristol City. Jobs for the boys. It wasn't going to happen overnight but you could see steady progression year on year, little improvements and a team that fights for our club and they have to do their best to throw it all away. What a man Nigel, having to put up with these children and actually getting us in the right direction. ,
  12. Refuses or forgets to answer the question about why we didn't invest more in the squad but we know the answer to that. I can't get round what a new head coach can bring within the constraints and the restrictions that SL had set that Nigel wasn't bringing and seeing the steady progression of our club after a scattergun approach to trying to get out of the division. Good player for us but since he went behind Danny Wilson's back and got him pushed I've always been hesitant on him. Weasel behaviour, it's all very sly and stinks of a pushed narrative and any semblance of the truth has to be omitted. Fair play to Nige for putting up with it for so long. Nothing will change until there's change at the top
  13. Think some egos have been hurt with the backlash, scrambling to put something together like that. Bet there was a big sigh after the cameras went off. I'd have rather they had said nothing if that's the best they've got. Two minutes of absolute waffle.
  14. This Lansdown snippet from April killing me with cringe
  15. Did like the way Brum played against us under Eustace at AG, earlier in the season. I know we didn't really turn up but admire the way they played. Solid at the back, creativity in the wide areas and getting the best out of certain players like Laird bombing on from fullback and in turn giving Dembele more space on the left. Much rather him than any of the others mentioned but echoing sentiments that I wish NP was still turning this ship around. Rowett steady but dull and Jones is a basketcase. Hope we stay clear of those. Always thought SL was going to wait for Robins to get the chop at Cov but maybe JL has cried to dad a bit too much, who knows. Get behind the team and someone try put a blank sheet over the 'Lansdown' part of the Williams Stand. COYR
  16. Decision making on the ball been so so bad today. One chance from a corner and getting caught out by a nice bit of skill when we're throwing a lot forward, I'm not going to whinge about that. We either took too long on the ball and invited pressure or didn't play the simple forward pass into areas with space and got pressed when we played the ball back. And we had a few chances too, on the ball we weren't clever enough or played with enough purpose to get at them.
  17. Lot of energy but no calm clear heads when we get into their final third, one of the issues we have in the squad. Mehmeti trying to drop into spaces and create, can't fault his efforts too much - we don't have the overlapping left back to get space in the middle so he is working with less space in there. Bell too predictable stuck out on the touchline. Weimann giving help to JJ (who hasn't looked too fazed bar a few balls over the top of him) but isn't helping him when he gets on the ball much. Weimann drops inside marked by a man and isn't offering an option, he does it far too often when hes on the right side. It forces us back or we lose the ball, it drives me up the wall.
  18. JJ at left back going to have to be on it to keep Bowler at bay, early winning tackle on him will settle his nerves, fingers crossed. I'm a fan of the two Greek players they've got, the centre back Goutas is a good defender and Siopis really gets about the pitch well and keeps their team ticking. I hope that's not Callum Robinson for them? if so, oh dear. Going to be a tough task with the options off the bench but as long as they put the effort in we've always got a chance, COYR.
  19. Thought we played okay. Had our chances, glad we aren't getting blown away by the better sides in the division, all close results but just lacking that something extra. They play with a bit of risk, efficiency and trust on the ball that each player can carry it past someone bar their centre backs. We've bought for energy and yards put in off the ball but on it we lack quality a lot of the time. Their front three behind Hirst, Luongo, Morsey and the full backs all can carry it past an opponent then move it on. Their teammates were comfortable with each other having the ball in sticky situations and if we didn't pinch the ball they were on to break up the pitch and create. Can only think of maybe Bell, Pring and Sykes that sometimes maybe can do that for us. Scott would drive us up the pitch every game with play like that.
  20. They aren't world beaters but sure as hell they are efficient with the ball and the way they play out, their players more comfortable taking the ball and driving past a man too. Something we miss dearly since Scott has moved on. First 10 the whole team were at them and since it's become little battles and we aren't winning as many as them. We've had some fairly good opportunities but quality of delivery is really poor. Love the effort but really need some clear heads when we get the ball and get forward, too many times Knight and Weimann and Bell have given the ball away with a poor pass. Games still there to be taken for both teams. And final note, put your foot through it!! Too many balls bouncing in the box giving me a nervous breakdown.
  21. Been competitive up until that point, what was Knight doing? Off the ball he's great but on it he's like a deer in headlights
  22. Williams and Knight both giving the ball away every time they get it pretty much, thankful James is there to keep it calm-ish
  23. Usual game against an Alex Neil team, fair play to them, stuck in it and made us pay. We could all see it coming. Too many poor performances from us today. Pring, Tanner and Knight really off it. Williams, Naismith and Dickie getting bullied a bit too much throughout. Can't say we didn't have enough chances to win that.
