Sorry why is this not on robins tv?

Tim iroegbunam would be a good replacement should Scott go and doubt he would be hugely expensive

It won’t be wolves if they can’t even afford €15mill on another player due to FFP. They’ve sold Jiminez for only 5mill and will need to replace him so surely striker is priority.
Personally, I expect Brighton to come to the table if they sell caicedo to chelsea. Reckon they could drop 30mill to blow others out of the water that are pissing around trying scrape together bare minimum

Wolves after Tommy Doyle now so that may rule them out from Scott, and Bournemouth priced out of it. Time for the bigger boys to come in with real offers
-
Wolves and Bournemouth will be in a relegation battle all season. Only one of them will stay up due to Luton and sheff utd being that much worse. I don’t think either are good clubs for Scott to move to. Surely needs to be a Brighton or West Ham, maybe even villa

We don’t need to sell tbh. I would hope it’s a case of match our valuation or higher or shove it and we sell or keep again next summer if we go up

Mehmetti will be his replacement
Think that’s been the plan all along? Most people see him as a winger but he did play a lot centrally at Wycombe. I guess that frees up a space for Benarous to compete with bell for left wing spot
-
Charlie Patino or Scott twine viable replacements?
-
There is no ‘middle ground’ on an offer. Bournemouth are trying to create that middle ground by low balling disrespectfully. £25mill is the starting point and lowest acceptable offer and if others come in (we’re not in a rush to sell) then the Dutch auction begins and the weak get filtered out.

Coventry selling gyokeres come in with an 11th hour bid and steal him from us…..
-
Could sign a new deal with a sell clause of X amount if we don’t gain promotion. If we do get promoted with him, then his value sky rockets
-
Our midfield is looking tasty, can’t lie. Knight will add even more energy and bite that suits our play style. Amazing we have signed him considering only a couple of years ago people would have laughed at us even being linked to him. Really shows the progress we have made

Probably unpopular opinion here but James has been good in an average side. Think he would be average in a good side.
That paragraph right there is a clear sign of squad improvement and progress if that’s the case. Would be happy if he was the worst option we had because he is a very good midfielder.

Should we sell Scott, a few have suggested we would look to sign a striker. If that is the case, I wonder if Tom cannon is an option. A busy pressing forward like Conway who can certainly score a goal or two

Given the value of some of these unproven/untested Man City youngsters are going for, we are well within our right to demand the fee we are for Scott. If clubs are willing to spend up to 20 mill on a young player with zero experience, then 25mill is light work for a player with a huge amounts of minutes and league experience in the bank along with a greatly higher ceiling compared to the level he is currently at

I suspect we want to do two more signings and are making sure we try and get Knight for as low a fee as possible to protect what budget remains for the last signing (replacement for Kalas)
What other positions do you think were looking at? The obvious one is CB but the other not so obvious. Any suggested names for said positions as well?
reckon obrien has become too expensive an option for us judging by NP’s comments on loan fees etc

How’s about stop fanning about and pay the money it will take to get them to accept before someone else steals our thunder? Sooner he’s in, the quicker he can prepare with the squad for the upcoming season

Still think we should take advantage of QPR financial position and take Iliad chair off their hands. Then know they need to sell him this summer and he has worked well with wells before. Would be a top signing for this level so maybe one on our list should Scott go

Newsnow is a pretty good aggregator. Has some clickbait too of course.
All the same, to type "Alex Scott" newsnow or "Bristol City" newsnow into Google is a decent place to look.
I’m talking in general but for all city news too. Twitter for now does seem to have sorted itself out…

Due to Twitter dying a death, the first we are actually going to hear about anything now is the official site when something is done. We can’t even read of any rumours as we can’t even refresh our Twitter feeds. Mine is completely blank. Not sure how I’m supposed to keep up to date with regular news of the things I’m interested in. Guess we should all go back to the days of Ceefax

Would be massively underwhelmed with Callum styles if that was indeed the alternative to knight imo
-
Move on from Kalas for me. Cashin as a LCB to compete with Atkinson and/or Jake o’brien to replace kalas and to compete for RCB would be the ones for me. Either of those would probably be on less wages than even reduced terms they may have offered to kalas.
cashin has better future re-sale prospects due to age, has Irish links to others we have or are in for (knight) has obviously played with knight and roberts so has an understanding of how they play and is a naturally left sided cb. I would hope we are exploring him as an option along with knight

I think McCrorie and Tanner will have the RB spot to lose. L1 loan, SPL loan might work well for us here. There's talent there and it keeps him on the books while sparing us a portion of his wages for a year.
I think we see tanner starting and vyner as back up rb as we now have dickie for that rcb role. I see McCrorie as more of a midfielder that could pop up with the odd goal like he did for Aberdeen.
cm options of James, Naismith, Williams and McCrorie is pretty strong with some others pushing them or covering for injuries. I don’t see king getting much game time this season -
@Davefevs if not Knight, do you think Twine could be a possible and good replacement should Scott move or is he the wrong area of the pitch? I feel twine is a 10 where we are wanting to play Scott but also has a wicked set piece in him. Can’t see him getting much game time at Burnley. Loan with View to buy?
Alex Scott - £25m to Bournemouth- Confirmed

Perfect world it would be for him to sign a new 3/4 year deal on 10-15k as he’s proven to be a top earner at the club, but with a non-promotion release clause of his current value of £25mill (he will be worth more than that in a years time, especially if he got us promoted) and inserted a 25-30% sell on clause.
we get him for at least another season unless a club pays well over the odds for him now. He either gets us promoted or we still are covered financially in the likeliness we don’t and he gets his move to the prem. win win
