  1. What I cannot understand is Pearson's thinking. He knew that Lincoln had been knocked out by a non league team in Round 1 of the FA cup. Surely he must have expected them to come out fighting with something to prove. Yet he picks this hybrid team including Martin the carthorse up front with Semenyo who can't hit a barn door sprinkle in some raw players from the academy and there we go walloped at home by Lincoln. And he has done to Low exactly what he said he would not do. Throw him in to a poor team and probably wrecked his confidence. Pearson's talk is good but increasingly it fails to be turned in to actions.
  2. That says it all. Writing this off just because it is the Carabao cup is not right. How can Pearson send out this team in a game we surely were favourites to win and maybe have gone on a lucrative cup run. Things never change. And that is true of Pearson I am sad to say.
  3. Utterly pathetic. I put Sky sport on at my daughter's and saw we 1 down . Left her house put on Talksport and heard their was a goal at Ashton Gate, it never entered my head it would be anything else but an equaliser. But I forgot just how relentlessly disappointing this City team are The game is as good as over. We are incapable of breaking down a packed defence. Something surely has to change.
  4. COYR. A good win please lads. Best of luck to the new boys as well.
  5. Acceptable it would be bloody fantastic!!!
  6. I wish I had your confidence. In spite of all the good points you make, we still lost last night and dropped 2 points against Swansea. I think it will be one hell of a struggle this season to stay up. And the only luck we are getting is bad.And the next two league look very tough. But I really hope you are right.
  7. Nice to see a Manager being so honest and fair in his post match comments. Good on you Mr Heckingbottom.
  8. The team gave it their all tonight. And has been said if we continue to play like that we should start winning. But we need some luck to come our way quickly and one of the strikers to hit red hot form. Looking at the table and most clubs below have games in hand and pretty soon we will be hovering around the relegation zone Just have to mention Alex Scott, what a player and what a performance.
  9. Surely a young striker from the academy would at least show pace and hunger.
  10. I know Cardiff offered to pay for their repair but if Swansea don't offer do we foot the bill for this. So if they are going to do this every time I wonder what the club do about it. Charge more for their ticket's or give them less.
  11. I wonder if SL will spend weeks and weeks interviewing and then pick Gould's current number 2.
  12. With Lansdown's track record for virtually never having a Manager in mind when we have sacked one , I really hope you are right about the CEO situation and that work has been done already over Gould's replacement. But I do not share your optimism.
  13. That is the worry. Stability and progress at CEO level back to square one.
  14. Not only is it a major concern if we lose Gould but it is how long it will take to replace him and who sorts out players contracts in the meantime.
  15. Great performance. Well done to everyone including the great support we had there.
  16. The only hope is to attack and get some goals. Let's hope this line up can. But not feeling very hopeful. COYR

    Worried ?

And there have been posters on here saying we would be mid table. Personally I will be happy if we stay up. Although if the defence continues to ship goals as it has been doing both this and last season that might prove a tall order.
  18. I would think Lansdown will be more worried about losing Gould at the moment. As long we are not in the relegation slots and being hammered each week he will be happy to carry on with NP.
  19. I cannot understand why he has got his place back. He has shown he is not up to playing in the Championship before.
  20. Agreed. How does that improve the defence. Didn't someone on here say that Preston like getting crosses in to the box. Hopefully be proved wrong and O'Leary will play a blinder but not too confident of a favourable result tonight.
  21. Mid table would be a great result for us. With the lack of options that Pearson has after an abject performance and the team careering down the table I fear a bit of a prolonged time down towards the bottom.
