    Go on...

Probably the fact that Diaz contributes regularly with goal involvements and is one of the more desired forwards in the division. Provides consistent contribution on a match day. The same can’t be said of Massengo - has often flattered to deceive (when selected)..

I don’t go to watch the U23s. But I’ve a mate who does. He says that Massengo puts in a decent shift every time he’s seen him play lately and seems entirely committed.

I get what you’re saying about Kadji (and Taylor-Clarke now). I just think there’s a risk if - however much they may be future - playing them means we knowingly weaken the side and drop points. I don’t think we’ve done that yet - but it’s a risk. There was one game recently when we had no midfielder at all on the bench, Massengo sat in the stand - and Williams went down injured quite early on.

The minimum requirement we expect. Perhaps Pearson expects a little more than we have been used too for a number of years.

Massengo gets better the more he doesn’t play for the first team. At this rate he’ll be up there with Messi by the time we wave him off.

As other contributors to this thread have informed me, its actually natural for a city fan to take an interest in rovers affairs and vice-versa.

Its unfortunate that there aren't more forums where fans of both clubs can interact and communicate, preferably without resorting to cheap and stupid insults, as you have done - I see educational standards and general standards of civility haven't improved in south Bristol since I last visited.

Laughable that you think North Bristol is still blue.

It’s nice to see this group of players seem to be bonding well and at last have resolve and togetherness needed to battle out points needed to push us up the table , long may it last COYR

May be wrong but I don’t think King is playing. The No.6 seems to be a youngster, and to be fair is about the only one, bar Williams, to emerge from this first 75 minutes with any credit.

Really sloppy so far, no spark or creativity, just going through the motions.

Glad Tins thinks Bell is ready and I bow to his superior knowledge, but to me he seems miles off.

Can’t help thinking he pushing this narrative as he’s his mates son. Cynical view I know but I’ve not seen anything yet (appreciate his limited appearances) to suggest he’s got enough. Look forward to being proved wrong mind you.

Why oh why would we play Williams in this? He looked good when he came on v Swansea and I was hoping he'd be pushing for a replacement for James on Saturday - pretty much nailed on sub now what with his fitness / injury record.

Doubt he’ll play anymore than an hour. Our next game is Saturday. Sure he’d prefer to play than train. Injuries can occur there too.

Fair enough, poor from the club then.   I think there should always be the option for families to be away from the more ‘involved’ members of our fanbase.

Like you say, you expect sweating at football. I do. For my eldest it wasn’t a major issue - yet my 6 year old attending her first game (when tickets are reasonably priced), little different.

    Thanks.

On second look I still don’t think we should be playing there. We aren’t good enough (as proved). That said, it’s very sloppy from Atkinson. Summed up the first period where we were off the pace and overran in the middle of the pitch. Once we started to put Swans under pressure in the second half it should their fragilities. We made them look like Brazil in the first half.
