Glass half full would say all out so we don’t need the bench. -

Some story. -
It was for the ref at full time. I felt Pearson deservedly took some stick when he brought Wells off. Heard jeers then.

Defence starts from the front. We were superb for a period a few years back with Bobby up top. Wells and Conway press well both individually and collectively.

Must say I totally disagree re Brislington, Dave. I hear this comment a fair bit from those outside of the club looking in, many I would suggest with a tad bit of jealousy. I enjoyed a couple of spells with Brislington as a youngster and must say the spell with Nigel Webb in charge would be as close as you’d get to a unified club (perhaps not as close as the 70’s and 80’s with the local lads) from first team to the 18’s. Some superb non league talent graced Briz during this period, far from mercenaries I can assure you - likes of Rob Claridge, Don Forbes, Tony Cook et al. Perhaps you are referring to present day. I’m not close enough to speculate.

Transfer values dropping for our players?
Engvall’s Splinter replied to Major Isewater's topic in Football Chat
I think you have missed my point. The valuations our fans have set / spoken of are unrealistic (ie 20-25m). I would suggest we would get between 7-10m max for them (at a push) as you say with generous add ons. Majority of that fee would be based on potential. Semenyo is nowhere near consistent enough and Scott also has some way to go. -
If it’s out there as a public broadcast you are going to get opinions. I listen because it’s City related. I disagree with some of the views as much as I may agree. Mark Ashton used to do my swede in but I also couldn’t get enough of his self indulgent BS and oddly enjoyed listening to his interviews. They were cringey, Brent esq. Ian has this too - I do find him quite fascinating ? Do enjoy the balance when Neil is on and when Chris Honor appears.

Sounds like you could do with a week off.

Transfer values dropping for our players?
Engvall’s Splinter replied to Major Isewater's topic in Football Chat
I don’t think players values have dropped as the wild prices quoted from our fans were never realistic anyways. Clubs would be paying more for potential - that potential is still there. Figures of 25m+ was that of fantasy. -
Nothing is going on. These things happen. We have to deal with it.

Superb watch. Ferdinand was showing his blinded loyalties on BT sport earlier. Fair play to Crouch for responding.

Am I the only one who didn’t find Tuesday “comfortable”? They hit the woodwork twice, laid siege to our 18 years box for a good spell in the second half and hit double figures in corners. If (aunties/uncles yeah yeah) they had a frontline they’d of had a field day. Surely I was not alone in bricking it during the last 20 minutes? We did a job but it wasn’t comfortable.

Hopefully Vyner will be back on the bench when Naismith and Kalas return.

Would’ve kept Nakhi on. May nick something. We are so inconsistent. -

Great ball in. Real pace. At least looked in in real time. -

Was really hoping (thinking) we were going to see some real consistency from Semenyo and a proper breakthrough season. Bit underwhelmed at the minute. -

Bit drab at the minute isn’t it. Very flat. Very little movement from those in advanced positions. -
Out of interest and I’m not saying he has, but if you were offered double your money in a sector you are passionate about, would you not consider it?

I guess previous posts may have passed you by - I haven’t said Bentley is perfect. With regards to Pearson and Williams comments that you reference, of which I haven’t heard, they are highly unlikely to state whilst Max was positive in his actions, he sometimes failed to comfortably execute a number of punches from crosses. Before you get yourself further overexcited, I said he did okay. Perhaps that also passed you by. -
Defeat to Millwall doesn’t seem as bad now. Championship is crazy.

Still don’t feel comfortable with MO’L between the sticks. Thought he did okay yesterday but didn’t think his punching was fantastic and he does lack real presence, especially when defending set pieces. As an opposing manager I’d be looking to crowd the six yard box and get on top of him. His distribution is very good.
