If Manning and the players have spoke, and that has led to a positive tactical tweak and change in mindset, then great. As others have pointed out, that is a good leadership trait to have.

Pretty sure the great Bobby Robson took advice from Senior England players in Italia 90, when they changed formation and played a Sweeper. The best Leaders use every resource available to them.

It's my prerogative to have those thoughts.

Yes it’s your prerogative, but why the need to mention it all the time? As for trolling you - as if - most of the time i skip your posts because i know exactly what you are going to say - always negative about the club you “support”. Your relationship with the club seems so broken, why do you even bother?

It is a given Manning will be sacked - whether a year or 3 years from now. Thats the life of a modern coach. I just prefer to focus on the positives rather than moan about everything.

And? Isn't that what a forum is for? If Manning has your full backing, fair play to you. It would be a boring world if we all had the same opinions.

Why the need to repeat it over and over though? Its like you want Manning to fail so you can be proven correct. Every day, pretty much, its the same posts. Give it a rest

Amazing that Pearson wasn’t told that he was sacked for results and he wasnt told about the fear the players were being de-conditioned.  Shows what slime balls we have running this club

    It's amazing, yet not surprising.

I suppose a question i have is with Nige still getting over his health issues, would he even have been able to finish the season?

Yes Man City and Chelsea both win everything with the billions they spent combined.

I thought the conversation was about the title run in? Chelsea are 9th. They will soon be in the shit with FFP no doubt but Man City are particularly dislikeable imo

Sagrada Familia. But book it in advance. Absolutely stunning.

It is incredible isn't it? Supposedly finished in 2026, which is when ill go and see it again.

Id also recommend Casa Batilo, and Parc Guell if you like Gaudi architecture. Even if you don't, they are incredible to look at. The gothic quarter is a good place to get lost in. I suppose you have to visit La Boqueria, about halfway down the tourist trap of La Ramblas. Then there is the seaside, the Olympic stadium on the hill, the cable cars and the football stadium, although as that's being done up there would be no tour. The trophy room is impressive! All of this before you even talk about the food and fantastic weather.

You can't go wrong really. I love the place

I always think about this graphic with VAR. Seems pretty intuitive that the system shouldn't be used for decisions that are closer than the margin of error inherent to the technology. If the call is too close for the system to be certain that the player is offside, then surely it isn't a clear and obvious error by the lino/referee.

My bigger problem with VAR is that it's part of a culture making football more like a science, rather than something entertaining. I guess ultimately the only way to escape that is to reduce the sums of money invested in the game (which I can't see happening any time soon).

Great post. Ive always wondered what margin of error there was. This post explains it very well. Cheers

Realistically thinking , most of that budget will go on just getting a squad together, let alone one to challenge .

"12 permanently contracted players have deals that are set to expire this summer while there are also six first-team loanees"

So possibly losing 18 members of your squad and wanting to recruit one to challenge ? I thought Taylor was a good appointment, but he has his work cut out.

What a way to run a club. Basket case

I’d never heard of it either, but this article suggests a link.

And a Google comes up with quite a few references, from apparently reliable sources, to the UAE making a concerted effort to test this technology during 2024……….

I thought seeding only effected small areas - the storms yesterday stretched from Bahrain to the UAE - nearly 1000KM

Sounds a bit conspiracy to me 😜

Will he mention his time here?  Could be worth a listen, amazing to think we binned him off and he's now top scorer.

He is 28. This is the first season he has got over 20 goals. His previous returns were:

    0,4,2,5,13,14,14,4,16,7,7.

Good on him, but he clearly wasnt showing the form he is in when he was here.
