Never getting a job in football again. What a ***.

Yes, so he is going down the Laurence Fox route. There are enough nutters about for him to make a living. Unfortunately.

The good news is, lots of shit will come out about Rovers so it should provide good material for the foreseeable 🤣

    Great hands too...

It really is in our hands now, Shame we haven't got a few points buffer, but get through the next two games against tigers and Newcastle, and then win one of the final two, that should do it.

Herculean effort needed. See you all at Twickenham!

Get your tickets for the Saracens game. That will be a belter

  3. If he is being paid until January 2025, he must have signed an NDA, in which case he has broken it by responding to the post's story.

Not exactly the smartest move, considering he is on gofundme asking for money.

This is a perfect storm for us - Joey revealing how incompetent Rovers are and at the same time making himself look like an even bigger *** than we already thought. Amazing

He won’t last a massive amount of time at Rangers and I’d be surprised if he ever has a career above Championship level.

I cant honestly say i watch scottish football so i have no idea of his current form to be fair. However, he did play in the PL for Norwich (40 odd games) and over 80 in the Champ. So clearly he has already had a career above Championship level.

On what basis? Where would you place them then?

Players of Todd Cantwells level are top Championship level. I think Rangers and Celtic would be competing for promotion in the Champ. If they got to the PL with the extra money and better players they would easily stay in the PL.

The other teams ive seen in the SPL would struggle in the Championship.

But without the performance, that’s much less likely to happen.

Scraping a few more points to finish the season is all very well.  I think it’s even more important to be putting in some decent performances over the final matches.

Surely that will give far more reasons for optimism for a more sustained improvement next season, than just points alone?

To be honest mate this season has been hard to keep up much optimism with all the BS we have been through, as fans. I will always support my team but sometimes i dislike the club if that makes sense. There is a sense we are drifting with nothing to play for. Its all a bit Meh.

Go and stuff Rotherham 5-0 will do me

“Given the conditions” - One team coped with the conditions pretty well, I’d say that you’re just making an excuse.

”Ground out” - our keeper saved us.

It wasn’t a typical gritty, put it on the line performance.  It was a weak performance.  Effort-wise, heart-wise, I don’t think I’ve seen much worse of late. I could just blame Manning because that would suit you, but I can’t, because that was mainly on the players (some of them) today, for whatever reason.  Although the shape early on was horrible

i think I’d prefer to go hungry if that’s the taste of humble-pie you’ve got on offer.

I dont know what any other manager would say differently, to be honest. They all put a positive spin on their own team’s performances.

I cant think of any manager that would have said “we should have got done by 4 or 5 today”.

The conditions were shit - no doubt about that - ive been to the SOL and its a bowl. The pitch is below land level and as a result its a wind trap. Its hardly surprising they are used to playing in windy conditions and us less so. A shit game all round.

  8. Had a great season, captain of Portsmouth team topping the league and now nominated for Player of season.

He still lives in Portishead, and i heard that he considers this season his best ever in terms of achievement. I reckon he will be a manager one day - if you listen to his post match interviews he has a real knowledge of tactics, and speaks very well. Future city manager?

Our game plan worked though, Manning got that right. Lots of managers would’ve subbed Mehmeti off before his goal - good to see Manning stick with him and it paying off.

I’m far from convinced but he deserves credit for today - he got it right.

100% this. Just need to string a few together now

Oh yeah, not denying that. I will maintain that we would have won that 2004 euros if it wasn’t for Rooney getting injured as he was unplayable there. Sven definitely underachieved overall and Southgate has done well to get “team England” in place as opposed to the club cliques.

The question over him becomes that for the third tournament running we’ll - by ability - be in the top four teams. And I think it’s right to say other teams also have good players. But if you can’t get over the line in the circumstance of having one of the best teams consistently (and this time it is more pronounced as we should be one of only two teams likely to win it), then it is fair to ask how successful you are bearing on mind resource as a manager.

Thats not slating him - it’s just saying what are reasonable expectations in the summer. Because if you don’t succeed three times in that circumstance then questions over how good you are become reasonable.

So are you sacking him then?

    Didnt think so.

Because with the best set of players we have ever had, especially going forward he has won diddly squat even with the advantage of a home final

Won absolutely nothing, zilch, nada and with his negative attitude that's how it will stay

Other teams have good players. Its not football manager
