The guy doing the England game was out of his depth. Some very odd decisions for both sides and had no idea how to manage the scrum.

Gotta be honest - ive turned games of Rugby off because of the rules / officiating. It's ruining the game

I do hold the club i.e JL and SL to account for lying to us as fans and sacking an experienced coaching team long before their sell by date. There is a difference. Shame you are happy to lap up their nonsense and let them get away with it.

Sorry, but how are you holding them to account by posting on an internet forum? They will never accept what they did was wrong - certainly not publicly. They can do/say what the hell they like and have done for years.

I do get the frustration, but after 3 months surely it should have subsided a bit. Repeating it all over and over is getting tedious

This place has been like an alternative universe ever since Pearson went.

Away from OTIB, so far as I could tell the main response to Pearson leaving was "That's a shame, I quite liked him. However, he's had a fair crack of the whip and we don't really look like going anywhere so why not try something new?" among City supporting friends and people around me in the stadiumat least. On here it was akin to people thinking the Lansdowns had cackled evilly as their 25 year plan to deny City certain promotion to the Premier League came to fruition.

The next thing that happened was people took everything said by the club hierarchy in the aftermath seriously! People in football bullshit all the time, but when the people here said we had a squad capable of challenging for promotion it was suddenly all deliberately made up lies to be used against them for years to come when in reality don't most clubs hope they have a squad capable of challenging? What would be the point otherwise unless you are a seriously small fish in a big pond? Somehow this then dragged Brian Tinnion into the axis of evil at the head of our club.

It is still a rare thread on here that doesn't include people complaining still about Pearson leaving, or cynically referring to our team as a 'top 6 squad'. It's tedious and unfortunately shows no signs of diminishing as the groupthink still holds sway in here.

    Fantastic post

I just remember when we previously moved from the back 3 to the 433 and a lot was made by the club etc how the players now felt more free playing in thr 433 and it felt more natural to them. And now we're back to the 3.

Personally, i think its good we can play in different shapes. I dont see any issue with that - its horses (sometimes donkeys) for courses

That’s gonna be a lot of non-3pm games.

I need a bit of certainty when games are going to be played, to accommodate schedules etc.

Hmm. I dislike 12:30 kick offa and Sunday games so too many of them and I'll possibly not renew my ST in the future.

    Same for me.

Bloody hell. Saturday football at 3 o clock please

Do I want an institution that is important to (a few) people to cease to exist because of the whims and failures of outsiders for whom those failures will have no consequence. No.

Thats a bit hand wringing for me sorry. If they are mismanaged then so be it. No club has any divine right to exist in the commercial world of football -  and any club that employs someone like Joey Barton deserves all they get.

It’s not even like we play regular derbies anymore - there is zero interest for us apart from the comedy. Id love regular, passionate derbies but thats not happened for years. They are irrelevant to be honest. Anybody under 35/40 scratches their head at our “rivalry”. You have to be close to, or thinking about early retirement to have any real memory of genuine rivalry.

If they went out of existence the football world would not bat an eyelid in the grand scheme of things. It would be 5 minutes on BBC news showing pictures of IKEA.

We’d all miss the piss taking but that would be about it. You hardly see their kits around Bristol now - apart from a few poor kids given it to them by their Gramps. Poor bastards.

Extinction is part of evolution and it will come for them sooner rather than later unless they sort themselves out.
