  1. One of the best midfielders of all time. Guys truly elite.
  2. Some of their special run stuff is very nice. Dye materials in an interesting way and some of the early stuff is genuinely groundbreaking in terms of design. A plain green sweatshirt with a badge on the sleeve in another matter. I wouldn’t wear it because of the negative reputation it has but they do make some really nice stuff as well as compete rubbish.
  3. Completely agree. Standing ovation required and black armbands worn first game back after the World Cup.
  4. And what does he have to show for it? Bottom end of mid table in the championship when he took over, some time in league one and now back to bottom end of mid table in the championship. Had a great evening v Man United and bottled a play off final, as well as winning trophies in a league we should never have been in. It’s not a great return on investment is it? Personally think a lot of that money has been spent cleaning up his own mess. Very grateful he’s willing to keep bailing himself out, I’d rather he didn’t need to.
  5. It's the opposite, people would see him for what he is which is an effective young box to box centre midfielder. He joined us at 17, is now 21 and has improved in that timeframe whilst getting inconsistent opportunities and being played out of position for a season under Holden. The hype around him means expectations are higher which is why some consider him to be one of our worst ever signings (seriously?). By no means perfect, but with the right players around him (as we've seen when played next to Scott and James) he can dictate the tempo of games. We need to replace his energy in the side, we need to bring in another midfielder who will carry the ball up the pitch and break through the lines. Only Scott does it, James and Williams don't as its not their style. The G/A argument is moronic when evaluating a centre midfielder, especially one that we have seen time and again kickstart moves by breaking at defenders and turning our slow and casual tempo into one where defences actually worry about our attack. He's been inconsistent and a bit disappointing for sure, equally I don't think we've ever played in the style of football that suits him (ball on the floor rather than being lumped to wing backs/strikers).
  6. I don’t disagree, just pointing out that people have been taking different forms of drugs for centuries. Alcohol is legal and regulated so it gets a pass, other equally destructive drugs aren’t.
  7. People have drank alcohol, smoked tobacco and marijuana and used other drugs for centuries if not longer. It’s human nature.
  8. I don’t understand why we’re still so attached to it, been one constant for the last few seasons of poor football. Not exactly awash with quality centre backs either.
  9. That’s a lesson for Joe Low. Can’t be that casual on the ball.
  10. There should’ve been a player marking him before he received the ball, wouldn’t have been scrambling to close him down.
  11. That’s not true though is it? If he’s not in the 18 he should be playing to stay sharp. Have to wonder if he’s told the club he won’t be re signing and will now be exiled to the U21s.
  12. Exactly. Whether he should’ve come or not is another conversation but he claimed it, got there and had the ball taken out of his hands by Kalas who’s given it straight to a Milwall player.
  13. Exactly. Got the #1 pound for pound fighter acting as backup for next weeks main event for gods sake. Helps that Dana White has a monopoly on the sport though. Got to be careful saying that though as I was met with a meltdown last time MMA was mentioned in here
  14. I think that’s best, if he’d take a Director of Football type role where he can help with the running of the club while someone else picks the team and sorts the tactics we’d probably be better off.
  15. I don’t think it was the right decision to come out, however he did and he would’ve caught the ball if the defender listens to the shout. It’s not great decision making but he ultimately got there and commanded his area, something he’s received criticism for. To me it’s a mistake but not a howler by any stretch. Again he’s half a second away from catching the ball before it’s then cleared away, if someone’s put a name on the ball it’s theirs to deal with.
  16. I’d like to see a change of shape, if only because it seems to be the only thing left to try.
  17. It’s not though is it? He’s good in 1v1 situations but he’s been a liability for some time at dealing with anything in the air and anything organisational. Does the same on international duty as well.
  18. So which is it then? He’s commanded his area and come to claim the ball and Kalas has taken it out of his hands.
  19. Kalas on the pitch for two seconds and is back to being a bomb scare already. Extremely overrated player
  20. Nice bit of drama for a Sunday afternoon.
  21. Two opposing captains from El Classico both coming out, and being in a relationship together, is pretty big news.
  22. Or they could just be studying men’s views on womens football?
  23. Talking about retaining players, how did Brentford manage to keep Toney and Villa keep Grealish? Surely both had a lot of interest in them while they were in the championship?
