In one sense, who cares, social media isn't real life. It is a bit embarrassing though to say "I'm off, see you when we're in the Premier league" and be back less than a month later after we win 3 games. Consistent with the way our club has been run? Impulsive: big gestures, pronouncements and grand plans that change very quickly. Does feel quite amateurish with people who publicly out themselves as being quite so daft steering the ship.

Hate hearing the likes of Klopp (and Wenger particularly in the past if I recall) whinging about fixture congestion every time there is a cup replay, and yet the new champions league format will add more fixtures to the calendar. Cup replays will surely pay the price sooner rather than later.

First half looked great - disciplined, high energy, dangerous on the break. On another day could have been 2 or 3 up. Conway needs one to go in. Second half about as big a contrast as you can possibly get, could barely string 3 passes together. Very sloppy. They're a good side and we gave a very good account of ourselves for 45 minutes. I think if we hadn't been fed Crayola boy's nonsense about having a top six squad, we'd all be fairly content.

None of these pundits have a clue what they're talking about outside the premier league, let's be honest. They don't care about it - Mers said as much, though at least he contradicted Morrison on the spending comments, what nonsense that was. The head coach model relies on more than people saying the same catchphrases about "playing on the front foot". You can't just turn around one day and say "we have an identity now" and expect success like Brighton or Brentford. It requires long term planning, but also people being competent in their roles at every level. Sure the head coach model can prevent you having to scrap everything and start again every time the head coach leaves. But haven't we just uprooted ourselves and got rid of the ones who were competent in their roles, who were driving the change in club culture, who were creating some kind of togetherness and planning for the future? Pearson and Euell etc were the answer, Lansdown and Tinnion (as much as it pains me to say it) the problem. He shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad frankly. He had his go - it's not as if he's gone and had managerial success elsewhere. Any young coach brought in is going to have their work cut out.

Sacking a good one feels worse than appointing a bad one - bad appointments happen (though admittedly embarrassingly often for us). It certainly has parallels with the Cotterill situation - appointment made to steady the ship, but not really given the right sort of backing. Almost like we have (twice!) stumbled upon a good manager by accident, then proceeded to make their position untenable. Couldn't make it up.

Think you've misunderstood me. I was (with the benefit of 20-20 hindsight) bitterly suggesting that if Lansdown hadn't opened his mouth to speak, we'd still have an excellent manager doing his best to turn our club around. I think Lansdown has made a terrible call (not for the first time) and the statement from Jon about our "promotion ambition" is utter drivel.

Who is getting promoted with our squad - even without the 11 injuries? Felt like Nige had given us a team I wanted to go and watch - who would give there all - worked hard for each other. Sorting out the club culture. Very disappointed to see him go and think he has been very poorly treated

to be fair, itv told us that de bruyne had come off when he was very much still on the pitch - he scored a few minutes later. mistakes happen. but they shouldn't happen quite so regularly. seems amazing that we can't get somebody who likes football to have a crack at it...!

Member prices saves £5 a go. It can see it's a pretty good deal - however I don't expect to go 5 times a season, I only make it to 1 or 2 home games as I'm out of Bristol so it's not worth it for me. I wasn't complaining about non-member prices per se , just that I probably can't justify £30+ at this moment in time. Given the kick of time change, I wondered if there might be a ticket going spare. Having said that - I do think our prices are on the high side with fewer options than were previously available. £33 in the south stand for example seems pretty steep to me. When I do get to a home game I notice the demographic has changed a lot over the years and price must surely be one of the factors. However, I can't see that we're massively out of step with the rest of the championship on average ticket/ST price so it's not simply a case of blaming the club.

Reading the "17000" thread - seems a lot of ticket holders weren't able to make the rearranged Preston game. I was wondering whether anybody with a season ticket for Swansea isn't planning to go because of the silly kick off time? I can't really justify spending £33 on a ticket as a non-member, but would happily pay someone for the use of their ST for the afternoon the approx. £24 or less it works out as per home game
