  1. Well, some are posting the same guff about NP/LM time and time again. It won't be the last time I post it, one of the w@ankers will bite.
  2. I'll be there at the births, but a baby shower ?
  3. Tommy is very upbeat; https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-star-learns-curb-8967557
  4. Tommy up for it; https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-star-learns-curb-8967557
  5. Bugger. Just been advised that I can't go to the game due to a double baby shower in our house for 2 x new grand kids. Apparently, I have to "show my face" and "welcome everyone", then **** off, whats the point of that ? Its bang on 2pm as well. Brilliant. Not
  6. They've won 4 and lost 6 at home, no draws. Scored 13 and conceded 18.

Yep, posted that above. Looks like we had a few games with them back in the day. Sorry - just noted the scorers..

    FRIENDLY GAMES

Hannover 96. Much later than 1957, was in the late 60s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Singen_04 https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/city-s-73-year-link-with-hannover-96/ I do remember a game with Hannover 96, my dad took me to the match. But I don't remember it at all let alone the score !

  11. I think the players are fine after listening to Naismith and Conway. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-star-learns-curb-8967557
  12. Blackburn 1-2 City (Conway 2) Always look on the bright side of life
  13. He has an annoying habit of answering the question he's about to ask, trying to put words into LMs mouth (and NP before him). Its just the internal PR machine at work I suppose. I do miss 20man in terms of his questioning and follow ups. I'm sure Piercy has his finger on the pulse and will ask some questions which will address some of the issues raised on here when the opportunity arises.
  14. Posted this in the match thread but no harm in putting it in here. Tommy sounds upbeat; https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-star-learns-curb-8967557

  16. Totally agree re Max. He could be a liability in playing out from the back or distributing the ball accurately/safely. Good keeper, but I tend to be nervous when he has the ball at his feet.

    FRIENDLY GAMES

There are sites that show all City results back to 1898, but based on league and cups. An example https://www.worldfootball.net/teams/bristol-city/1962/3/ Someone may be able to find historical friendlies somewhere..
  18. James Linington is referee After Andy Davies at Huddersfield (although he was ok that game).
  19. TBF, it took Pearson a long time to get to that point. He was a bit spikey in his younger managerial days.
