Ditto. They weren't quiet last night when I had to take my Mrs to A&E after she tripped and gashed her head and a broken nose. They advised everyone to go home as there was no chance of being seen until the morning. Off to a walk in clinic now to get her stitched up - A&E will be oversubscribed today methinks. Anyway, Happy Christmas to all OTIBers, enjoy the day with loved ones and spare a thought for those alone or on the streets.

Anyway, back to the OP, it will indeed be like two new signings having Atkinson back and McCrorie to begin his career here and helping with the squad size. Not sure where they fit in though with defence playing well and its not priority positions these days, although McCrorie can play midfield apparently so it will give options. TGH needs to be signed up so thats a decent amount to spend (or may already be accounted for). Aside from that, it may be a case of keeping the powder dry until the summer.

Nail on head methinks. Barton and his team were obviously a drain on resources and had to go regardless of him being an odious little convicted thug. I'm of the opinion that these property developing owners are there for a reason other than football and have had that opinion from the day they walked in.
