Could say the same about Max Bird.  His season with Derby finishes on Saturday.  In theory available for the Stoke game?

No. His EFL registration is held by Derby and can’t be transferred until the window opens.

Now been officially confirmed what a few of us knew, Benarous picked up another hamstring injury in his second 21s appearance & his season is over.

Do fear the worst for him, his two 45 minute appearances were spread out over a fortnight & he still can’t stay fit.

Has another year on his deal but certainly can’t be someone Manning can factor in as being available in 24/25.

Good job Murphy is ready to go then…

  3. Will Murphy be part of it next season? - that will have an influence on how many more we need in there.

I expected to have seen a little bit of him by now, in the U21’s if not the first team.

Anyone heard seen much about his form since signing for us? He’s gone from starting every week to now not, he last started a match on 13th Feb, since then he’s started 9 matches from the bench. Any idea what’s going on?

in those 9 games he’s come on and scored 2 and been booked 5 times!

Pardon? According to Transfermarlet he’s started, and played the full 90, in the last 9 games.

I managed to tune into the last half hour. Some interesting points, and a few red herrings as well in my view.

But they did touch on the area where I believe, others will disagree, that the club is lacking. Leadership. When they removed Nige they left the club with the following 4 key people. Marshall, Tinnion, Jon Lansdown and Manning. In isolation you would question each of those people to perform their roles, but in combination it is in my view a recipe for disaster. There is no strength or depth of ability in that set up, so when you do have say a Manning type come in, who is learning on the job, the rest of the structure is not sufficiently able to support and carry them. This would be true of any young inexperienced coach coming in. I personally detest how Manning wants to play football, but that is about preferences, others love that type of game plan. But you cannot move Manning out, and for me he must go he is so out of his depth, but you have to also look a all 4 of those key positions. I do not believe those 4 people would not be on any other Championship clubs blue print for success. It is also worth mentioning that in recent years it has been shown that some of our better periods have been with experienced managers, GJ/SC and to an extent in terms of stopping a L1 return NP. Strong personalities all 3 of them. As there is no other leadership at the club, those people have had to fill a void. Removing NP, and at the same time all of his key team members was reckless and demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of what elements are required to create success. That did not happen at Brentford, Luton or Brighton. They all evolved along a similar path.

Manning has to go, the club is spiralling in one direction. But simply changing him for another young coach will risk the same outcome.

Far cry from the partnership we briefly saw between Gould and Pearson.

Hard to keep track, presumably along with Atkinson, Benarous and Bell, Naismith is out for the season.

Vs Leicester if players returning and fitness improved I'd try..maybe.

                  O'Leary

    Tanner Vyner Dickie Pring

        James Knight Williams

       Sykes    Conway   Twine

Albeit I understand the case for TGH and or Twine central.

They’re hoping to give Benarous some minutes this season, no?

Clearly a better coach than player.

Absolutely embarrassing that we ever signed him, peak waste of money era signing under LJ.

Is/was he any more a waster of money than this guy from FGR is?

    Liked Danns. Good player.

Did you know Mickey Bell's son Sam is a pro footballer now! Well I never.

I knew Matt Hill's son James had broken through at Fleetwood. What I didn't realise is that he was signed by (you guessed it) Bournemouth in Jan 2022 and is currently on loan at Blackburn. Completely passed me by.

Recalled in Jan and has played a few prem games recently

It’s always positive when a City loanee does well at whatever club they’re at but it’s worth remembering that they’re invariably playing in the lower leagues.essentially to gain experience of playing competitive mens football.

No need to get too excited about Seb scoring another goal but it’ll do his confidence no end of good.

With how it has panned out in recent games this season is now a bit of a free hit for him.

He can use the time to get used to the league, work on his match fitness & with George Tanner in good form, challenge him for the RB spot.

Was told at the time that this was really serious & the risk of infection high, great to see him come out the other side & about 4-6 weeks ahead of schedule too.

Well, yes… the problem was an infection.

It doesn't feel like it tbh. We have a lot of medium to long term de rigeur and then short term ones bump it up saw in October 2023 especially.

McCrorie and Twine just 2 examples of medium term to long term injuries not long after joining.

Atkinson hasn't kicked a ball in a year for first team, Benarous hasn't kicked a ball in 2 years.

Baker had to retire, Kalas and Williams major issues.

    Etc.

You can add Pring to that too unless that is reported now?

That is a snapshot in time tbh.

3 weeks is not medium term, however you look at it.

How many home kits have we worn in the last 2 seasons, that weird patchwork one, the Arsenal one, the pin stripe one and then this heritage one, any others? 😂

Anniversary shirt was 4 years ago. So last 2 seasons: 2 home shirts and 1 special celebration shirt. Lots of clubs will have a one off shirt every season.

Who is in charge of retail? It just continues to baffle me.

What have they done wrong here? 50 goal keeper shirts? I can’t imagine that more than 50 adults goalkeeper shirts have been sold this season.

Nice to see anywhere. Juve got boring, PSG is a procession.

Man City, as well. An inevitability. With Klopp out and Pep surely not staying much longer the prem may be about to become a little more open.

Starting to look as if height could be a factor in City future goalkeeper. Josey is listed as 6'3"" while new signing Isaac Finch is 6'4"at just 17. Not sure about the heights of Duncan and Boyd but I suspect the latter is under 6' like HWR so that may not bode well if we go by the adage that a good big'un is better than a good littl'un.

Boyd is a big lad. A good 2/3 inches taller than SPH, who is down as 6 1
