Certainly not at 5 million, no.

Want this to happen, and can definitely see it happening. Means Knight can pay a bit deeper, as well.

Agree, just more the fact that he’s had to do pretty much a pre-season on his own.
If what we’ve heard is up to date, that is his second game, after an in-house one last week. A couple more games over the next week-10 days and I’d hope we can start getting some minutes out of him.
-
I’m really hoping this opens up a move for Twine, even if a loan with an option.

Maybe worth looking elsewhere then anyway imo. That central attack role is locked down by Knight and we have able cover in Weimann and eventually Benarous. RW far more pressing.
I, personally, don’t want Knight in that role. At the moment he’s playing there because there isn’t much else. However, I think that is partly the reason for the disconnect between the midfield and forward line.
Manning has made it clear he wants one to play between the lines

Rather keep him than James now. A good age to take up the role as a more experienced head in midfield. I guess it depends whether we can work his wage demands down.

I’ve never been able to find the quote again, but didn’t LJ say something along the lines of “I didn’t really want to sign him, but all of his numbers/stats suggested I should” ??
Not quite.

Well I'm hardly gonna name them, it isn't in the public domain, they were told at their weekly meeting that all 3 recent signings are for the academy
That goes against all signs coming out of the club.

The poll you put up has been responded to by less than 13% of the members who have visited the forum since you posted it, so less than 10% have voted to reinstate the posts to the main forum. We are discussing it, we all work and have lives away from here and whether or not 145 members have voted in favour of your POV, it will take as long as it takes to get a decision.
Ummm. That’s never how it’s been done, in any type of vote. Especially after it was done on a whim by the admin group.

Merge it back. Ridiculous it was moved anyway. It is “football chat”, no?

Thought Pring was excellent today but looked knackered at the end, this is where it would be good to have Roberts back to bring him on so Pring doesn't have to play every minute of every game. Worried about Sykes, from where I was straight away he seemed to go down and he knew straight away he was done, very very worrying. I was surprised Yeboah was taken out the squad I know King came back in but was expecting Manning to take out Nelson or something but imagine now with Sykes' injury he will be back on the bench. Would be great to have McCrorie back next week or the week after at Preston think he will turn out to be an excellent signing. Also, looking forward to getting Rob back would love to see both Rob's in a team together!
Think Ross will need a few u21 games first.

Swiss Ramble’s view is that the extra month amounted to £5.3m of extra cost and therefore losses.
This decision was taken “to better align with the financial reporting dates adhered to by the English Football League and the wider Bristol Sport Group”.
In financial terms, there was little impact on revenue, as there were no matches played in June, but the change resulted in an additional month of expenses.
On a simple pro-rate basis, this would mean that costs were around £5.3m higher in the reported accounts. Excluding this timing impact would give an underlying loss of £16.9m, i.e. £11.6m lower than the prior year.
Panic, somewhat, over?

I presume this one would be looking towards the first team pretty quickly?
come in, settle in for a few months, have a crack at first team football.

Surely this is where Dave Barton should come in, work with Manning on being able to effectively convey his desired message. It is how it works in every other industry.

Presume it’s a full on tear of the hamstring then, if it’s seen as long term.

Lewis is class. Will be head and shoulders above likes of TAA, James and even Walker at RB when he hits his prime.
Hmm. The three you have mentioned are potentially the best three right backs in the world at the moment. Walker may go down as the premier leagues best rb ever.

That money goes straight to Bristol Sport not the football club, so however small it would be, it would have zero benefit to the ‘football operation’
Wrong, again.

Sorry to break it to you guys and girls, but we ain’t gonna win the World Cup
By the time of the World Cup we’ll hopefully have a manager capable of using the wealth of talent we currently have.

Hes 18 and clearly a promising talent it could be more about stopping him representing another nation protecting the England national sides interest give him 10 minutes at the end of a game for the 1st team and he is locked in then.
Not anymore. 3 games needed, isn’t it?
-
So 22.5 million up-front, plus a possible 3 million in instalments.

I hope I’ve caught him on bad days but not been over impressed with JKL when I’ve seen him & certainly see Araoye ahead of him.
Think it’s pretty clear that he is ahead of Araoye. Captained the u21s almost every game, and has a spot on the bench ahead of Araoye.

Can they just ban him, again. Conversation flows much better without this old fart online.
