Our second most successful Manager in our history... Yeah awful
With potentially the strongest selection of players we’ve ever had. He has by no means been ‘successful’.

To be fair we don’t need to. The Scott fee will be in instalments.
Let’s say the rumours were right that we wanted £10m up front, it could be that next season the instalment is £5m, leaving us needing to sell someone (or more than one) with up front payments amounting to the other £5m. Conway immediately springs to mind.
Then the problem comes that we will need to find a replacement on £5k per week or less as we are at our wage budget maximum. Maybe we can strike it lucky and Yeboah can be that replacement.
The full fee will be included in accounts, not put down as instalments.

Why would you need to buy any houses? When the South Stand was originally built no houses were purchased.
Second tier on the south stand would be the footprint would have to be deeper. There is literally no room behind the dolman end of the south stand.

Is there really any point in signing another keeper when you can use the emergency loan option should the worst happen. If O'Leary did get a bad injury I assume we would just loan in a keeper from a Premier League team as we would be allowed to do so outside of the transfer window.
Has been covered. We wouldn’t be able to sign an emergency keeper with Bajic here.

Won’t happen, but would look to move on Joe Williams in an ideal world. I think he’ll be moved on next summer anyway, and is likely one of our highest wages.
Which leads to questions about next summer. James, Williams and King are out of contract. King will retire, and i think we’ll probably try to extend James. Explains our interest in Thomason. We’ll have quite a job next season sorting the CM and CB shortage that we’ll now inevitably face.

Was wondering if anyone had actually tried this yet, ie just doing a screenshot of the QR code.
I’m wondering if a screenshot won’t work because the way the scanners work, you have to scan the bottom of the phone, so it must somehow be picking up the wallet from the rear of the phone rather than the actual screen itself.
A friend of mine borrows a season ticket at Real Betis and they have the same digital ticket as us, but he’s able to get in using just a screenshot of the QR code.
Wonder if ours doesn’t allow that due to the way the scanner works?
Yes, this is how NFC technology works. Your phone has a ring of wire in that interacts with the scanner. Uses the exact same technology as Apple Pay or contactless cards.

Surprisingly it's not like that, just a very clever way of how they work their contracts
Sort of. There is however a potentially dodgy link between Saudi and Chelsea. The sales of Chelsea players to Saudi may have been hugely over valued. This would of course help massively with FFP.

Didn't the Lansdown stand cost £90 million alone?
Hahaha, no. ~£52 million for the whole redevelopment I think.

None of us know do we?
FWIW I’m going with James Piercy who is suggesting £25m Transfer Fee. I don’t care about about the “appearance based add-ons”. We will struggle to track those anyway.
I’ll revisit when 23/24 accounts come out in about 18 months time.
Pierce suggesting £25+
Tristan Cork, also BP, suggesting £22+

Lots of people have got very confused either the whole add on thing.
To simplify it we have recieved 20 million up front for Scott direct into our account. We will recieve a further 5 million over a period of time. That 5 million is what people have got confused by. Because its spread out people have confused it with add ons which it is not. We will recieve that 5 million PLUS add ons if they are achieved.
**** off.

I think we should leave the CM vacancy open for the returning Benerous. He’s quality.
He’s going out on loan when fit.

My personal understanding is we have recieved 20 up front with 5 million spread out over x amount of time plus add ons.
Doubt it. Should highlight that Bristol live are the only source suggesting 25 million + add ons. Everyone else, and by that I mean everyone, suggests 20 million + potential 5 million in add ons.

Think we’ll sign 3. Perhaps 2 midfielders and a striker. 4-5 million of the Scott money spent.

Do we? Stones is up there as one of the best in the world, but out injured. Colwill and Tomori both talented youngish players. At right back we’re loaded with world class talent. Left back options of Chilwell and Shaw long term.
