    WOW.

Of course the examples you raised are unacceptable. Just as a point of order, I've not heard City fans sing about Aberfan ever and I've supported City for over 50 years. I did hear that it happened decades ago though.

Another point of order is that I didn't say that I was offended. What I stated was 'it could be because that they are a bunch of c****'.

I've had lots of experience of Celtic and their following. In my experience of them inside and outside of Glasgow is that they are what I stated. I've yet to meet one of them that doesn't hold extreme views wherever I've met them or wherever they are from.

You've had different experiences. Bully for you!

What have the British ever done to the irish and catholic minorities!

    He is a complete ***

If you are talking about shauntaylor85, on the assumption hes been going to games since the mid 90s shaun taylor days when he was a kid, thats getting on for 30 years of false dawns, shite signings and crap management, hes as entitled to be impressed or not as anyone else who buys a ticket.

Wonder what Derby fans are thinking? Bigger club than us, in League One & couldn’t even beat Cheltenham today.

Sheffield Wednesday too, also bigger, got as many points all season as we got at Rotherham in midweek.

This Ipswich stuff is pretty selective, absolutely no mention of those sides who are bigger than us & doing far worse.

On a similar vein I expect we won’t hear so much about Plymouth overtaking us after their 7th defeat in 10..

The ipswich stuff might be selective but so many teams have overtaken us over the years its no wonder we get hacked off, if ashton was to get them up im sure a lot of us would be horrified, but it wouldn’t be a surprise at this point. The only club i cant see overtaking us are that lot north of the river who are so tinpot they make us look like brighton.

If only we didn’t keep selling our best players. Imagine us with Scott and Semenyo in the team today…

Yes, by definition we cant afford to sign players like that, those 2 with a fit conway through the middle would be a real handful, but now they are gone to finance the next round of questionable signings.

  5. I think covid, and the failure and cost of the lj/ ashton years has killed off any love that SL once had, and paying out the wages for some of the shite weve signed must have been pretty galling, especially given the list of clubs who have gone past us and played in the premier leqgue.

  6. I think kal has a place in midfield along side james, or in his place if hes out, but seeing as he was brought in, presumably on a good salary as a top centre back, i dont think hes been a particularly great signing?

There's just no stability there. Every season there is too much churn in their squad, as shown by 17 signings this summer.

It makes hard to get any cohesion, establish a way of playing and build team spirit.

Agreed,, im up there quite a lot as my mrs lives up there so i keep an eye out for their results/ to avoid traffic on saturdays. There has been a lot of money spent and they were in the europa league not that long ago, one of the things nige has got right here is the lack of reliance on loan signings, some of these clubs have to start from scratch every year and its not easy.

He needs to start showing some composure on the ball. Got into a couple of good positions in the box, but seemed to rush/mishit the final pass/shot

I'd have expected him to have calmed down a bit by now.

Are beta blockers legal for footballers to use? Can he practice some zen meditation?

Hes very raw, and very quick, its almost as if hes playing to track back and press, which hes very good. At, but at the moment hes not having much impact offensively.

He actually reminds me of Bolasie if I had to chose someone. Ungainly and raw but effective. Always looking to be positive.

Id put money on him getting a red card for an outrageous challenge at some point this season ?

Could be a real gem for us in a year or two

Yes, hes pretty raw but scary quick,, and  it feels like the fanbase has really taken to him. Id love for him to get a goal!

  11. Just spoke to someone in at rovers, asked about the clarke-harris transfer.,. His view is that rovers, probably deliberately, had agreed a weekly salary figure over the phone and when he came to sign they had provided a contract with a lower amount to try and save a few quid.

everything then got renegotiated and time ran out on the deal, as we know. Apparently the mythical fax machine which i joked about isn’t actually a thing, not any more anyway, but it wasnt until past 11 that the deal was finally agreed and by then it wasnt possible to request the extension.
