  1. Yep im quite happy either way, but i havent heard any of our lot giving him any grief, perhaps hes trying to create a bit of atmosphere to feed off of. Still a **** though
  2. Its sky red button, they dont have replays, only one commentator, no half time analysis etc
  3. Agreed, we all know we are skint, its a matter of when, not if he goes and how much we get.
  4. I think by good fortune there are 3 teams in a worse position than us, and that will keep us safe. I also think weimann being back as energy of the side makes a big difference and he can score goals. but for me this season is about trying to give young players game time and hopefully getting rid of some higher earners,,, if pearson could actually get us organised and playing some decent football that will be a big bonus.
  5. Yep, good player, always wondered why he never got a big move,,, im sure we could have got him for what palmer and dasilva cost
  6. I like to think im pretty switched on, but you chaps are operating at a whole different level! Im still looking to establish how much/ if any the league allows for covid losses, and what happens in 3 years time when our 1 profitable season rolls off the back of the calculation…. Basically we need to significantly cut wages, stop buying rubbish on rediculous contracts, and get some player sales going again…
  7. Nice post dave, just read it on the derby forum… the loss figures are horrific, but aren’t exactly a great surprise, and will be broadly in line with other non pp championship clubs i guess. we are in dire need of moving a few of the top earners off the wage bill,,, we all know who they are, but no one is going to want to take them on!
  8. Clearly a lot of that, if correct, was only agreed after significant player sales to raise funds to pay for it.
  9. Ive been reading through this thread,,, i think we can all point to various issues over the last 5 years or so that have lead to this loss. Agree though,,, we have raised a fortune through selling a few players, but my god, most of the signings made have been pathetic…. No one is guaranteed a 100 percent success rate on transfers, but our record is horrific.
  10. Blimey, if city tried that there wouldnt be anyone going to games
  11. Ive picked up on osib this season, and listen after every game, checked yesterday to see if it was out and got the notification last night to say it was out. Thats this mornings work from home entertainment sorted, thanks for your efforts stan
  12. That seems most likely for me, take him up into the football league and see how he gets on
  13. They are a good judge of a player! Wells has been shocking for us, to the point now that he basically doesnt play anymore. in terms of martin,we all know what we are going to get, hes in for the long ball forward, might get 7-8 goals this season and has no pace, but is getting flogged by playing every minute of every game,, we need another striker in to share the workload
  14. Essential player for us, but im not sure he will command a particularly high transfer value, due to his age and previous goal scoring record?
  15. He is, or should be a key player for us… we may as well give up on him now, 18 months of basically not playing means realistically hes taking up a wage and theres no way we can plan for him to be involved.
  16. I normally dont feel vyner is the root of our problems, but im changing my mind after that,,,, that was pathetic
  17. Can you buy palmer and wells ones as well?
  18. Would love to see wilbs still involved with the club,,, but we got danny simpson instead
  19. i was thinking this earlier,,, thats a hell of a treck, i was up in the lakes this summer, barrow is a long way up!!
  20. Fantastic striker,, but i think some of those things are an instinct only possessed by elite level players,,, he could work with semenyo for 10 years and couldnt teach him those things… ( no disrespect to antoine, it applies to most players!)
  21. Perhaps a better idea would be to move out palmer dasilva and wells, that would free up a fortune to bring a loan striker in. the alternative is to sell on the family silver,, alex scott in this case,,, if we could get 8 million or so should we take it? The answer is that the club would definitely take it I suppose
