Best league in the world! -
I have been critical of pearson in the past, but i called out jon lansdown on another thread the other day about his comments, what did he really expect would happen this season?! however, at the point of the man united victory, up until the wolves game in the league, not many on here would have considered us being back to square 1,, we were playing at a level that had evolved past the promotion side at that point.. We couldnt sustain it through to the end of the season and then the big money sales started, but the square 1 comment doesnt really ring true for me.

We dont hear from the chairman in months when we know hes been in bermuda, but he expects us to be doing better??!! Talk about do as i say not as i do.

With a new stadium, like the emirates, or the etihad, thats all they have ever been known as. Ashton gate has had that name for 100 years, and officially renaming it wont change what people call it

Very good, though i dont quite know what they do?i wonder how this works, did mansion bet not see the appeal of another over acheiving season with bristol city?

And if we could he seems to be in the same situation as bakinson,, bombed out regardless of what our situation is.

Pogba is a shocking player. Hes the definition of someone who loves being a footballer rather than loves playing the game… quite a lot of that french team have the same issue.

Bristol City in Second Place - 1 point behind Fulham

I dont think 2 extra points will make much of a difference -
The leicester players were high quality, but it was 6/7 years ago that team went together. There was an obvious risk with the simpson and king signjngs, and james has had long term injuries too. Baker was always going to be a risk, atkinson was initially in favour, then dropped, now no one knows whats happening, and tanner was a league 2 right back who might or might not turn into a good signing, but was cheap enough to take a risk on. weimann has been fantastic, but several of those signings were clearly questionable at the time.

They have also given english football 2 of the most influential figures in its history.

Dont worry, we have a years worth of niges defensive expertise to see us through! -
Have to say that like him or not, rooney has done an amazing job there, pulling that around was practically impossible.

Its not moronic, and you are out of line. Some bloke has a different opinion to you, thats all. Forest are on a hell of a run while the good ship bristol city stumbles along with top earning players rarely playing and most of our midfield being injured, and no one able to organise and defend a set piece, so that business as usual for us.

To be fair, ireland are pretty awful these days, and any pro playing in the english leagues is likely to play for them

I am. 2 of those 3 hes stuck on his line. Again. Why doesnt he try coming off it and you know, try and catch it? Even a punch could be attempted, but he apparently is unwilling to give it a try…. Hes in his mid 20s now, not a teenager anymore, hes finally got his chance, and we look worse than before -
In conversation with ....... Rob Newman
Simon bristol replied to headhunter's topic in Football Chat
I remember walking into a room with rob and some other city players as a young lad with my city autograph book on an open day and asking for his signature… scared the bejesus out of me cause he was massive!! Absolutely a club legend though, great player for us -
Weimann is key for us and probably exceeded all expectations this season, but the reason hes not in the premier league is is his touch can be a little”loose”,, that open goal is an example of what i mean… he can finish, but that instinct doesnt come naturally. Like with someone like tammy ( different levels obviously). superb athlete though, which makes him important to us

Yes, i was in the east end bouncing with some lad i never saw before or since… that was mayhem!
