  1. Anyone would think the locals moved in before the large football stadium was built there and have had to out up with the traffic ever since
  2. If the general consensus is that massengo is leaving, and just for example we sell him for 5 million, how far does that go to correct our ffp position?
  3. I think our best bet for palmer, and probably wells, is to arrange a nagy type free transfer for both where we get them off the books for no more money being paid out!
  4. Yes, id be very happy for him to come in too!!!
  5. They have at least 2 loans from higher leagues, one of whom is a star in the making. If they dont get someone in to replace them to make a similar impact then its going to be a rough struggle next season!
  6. Yes, horrible news, hope he makes a good recovery
  7. This is real madrid though, winning champions leagues is what they do best! They may run out of luck but they wont lose that never give up attitude!
  8. Crazy, but if you want a match warn shirt for your collection or museum, i cant think of many more iconic in football history? you would hope it would be repatriated back to argentina and put on display in a museum there
  9. I guess hes had a decent career to still be playing, but my god weve had a lot of poor players over the years!
  10. It was complete mismanagement thatgot us in this position!
  11. You reckon? He would be great, but i cant see we can afford it,,, yet no doubt he would come here for less than palmer earns.
  12. Isnt is semantics? Their contract has expired with one club and they are signing with another one.
  13. Agreed, but im not sure massengo would be a huge loss. Id like him to stay and appreciate his work rate but his goals and assists record is shocking, and his habit of giving the ball away and giving the opposition opportunities is rather upsetting. Midfield has been a major problem for us and him going would free up a place, maybe for benarous, and help out with ffp too.
  14. You 2 fellows sensibly assume no transfer profit but the club set itself up to operate on the basis that transfer income will cover a very large wage bill! Genius!
  15. Its surely inevitable we will sell him isnt it? We have to sell someone to cover the cost of all the crap weve signed over the last few years, which left us with a near million pound a week loss from the last set of accounts.
  16. Yep, won again, would be great to see everton come down for a year or 2
  17. I think thats the main reasoning for the comments robbored is querying. He’s obviously not quick, and was brought in at a not particularly great time in the clubs recent history. And more importantly he was flogged to death last season in a very physical role, which led to people querying whether he was the right striker that we needed. With weimann back and firing, and semenyo in to share the physicality, hes kinda played to his strengths a lot more. Guy can obviously finish too, which helps!
  18. Yeah i was wondering that, what would we accept? He obviously signed on a reduced wage too, maybe he would go back to the club and ask for a payrise? either way, hes been fantastic this season.
  19. I can see why this thread was posted to be fair, if they are selecting benarous at lwb, then unless pring, who is 5 years older, is injured, then surely the writing is on the wall for him?
  20. Theres a few top end championship players out of contract, would be great if we could go for them, but im sure they would have better offers.
  21. What’s happening with tom lawrence up there? Always looks a good player and is out of contract this summer as far as I know?
  22. The club definitely need to let him go, but ive never heard any reports that hes a negative or disruptive influence? Him being paid 3 times semenyo for example might be a bit galling, but it doesnt really seem much of a benefit to us to give him money to leave? i also can forsee that he still has enough of a name in football that someone in the championship, like milwall or birmingham will offer him a contract,,, and the best case scenario is that he leaves for free to one of those clubs on the same sort of deal as nagy, where we dont pay anymore out…. Thats the best part of 6 million on those 2 who were worth nothing and had negligible impact on the club…. And thats before you add in wages and other poor players who have cost money and achieved practically nothing!
  23. Yep, stick him up front for man city and hed get plenty. as others have said, it takes several years of progress, like at brighton and brentford to get there, we just havent got the desire or nous to do it.
