  1. Currently on the site there are around 2,000 tickets for sale.
  2. Well as they are both criminal offences, I'm not sure where that takes you?
  3. More like didn't need to sell in January.
  4. I do - webmail/server backups/'insurance emails' etc etc - currently discussing cleansing stuff going back 20 years for my employers and everyone in the organisation wants to keep everything!
  5. Not sure Stoke are sorted yet for previous years - Bursik move simply enabled a few moves in January - Souttar sorts to 2022/23 with little left on the assumption that PYs are agreed. 2023/24 is a new year ....
  6. Not sure if it is on here already, but there some allegedly interesting alleged emails allegedly from someone in Man City circulating. If real they have a real problem.

Says who? Not being deliberately awkward, but could someone point me to an actual study that proves this? My disdain for xG and similar stats are probably well known on here. There are too many issues from my perspective for it to be a useful predictor. In my view the simple truth is that some teams have better players who score more goals and better players at stopping their opponents from scoring. xG takes no notice of who scored or how a shot was stopped. There are plenty of possibilities for bias, conscious or unconscious. "Oh Haaland missed that, it must have been a harder chance than it looks." Take O'Leary for example. If he consistently performs over and above the average keeper then City's xGA will be higher than the actual goals conceded, he saves more shots. That isn't something which you would expect to tend to an average, it's just an example of a population measure not being an appropriate measure for an individual. Or maybe they have significantly better players than average. Consequently whilst it might be a 0.2 chance for the average player it will a 0.3 chance for one of theirs. Or maybe with both clubs having lots of goal scorers that works better.

My understanding is that the performances so far this season of both Luton (4th) and Blackburn (8th) exceed their xG results by substantially more than City's.
  9. To be an 'Ultra Pedant' ???: In the qualifying rounds both teams mutually agree the prices. In rounds 1 to 6 the home club decides the prices The FA decides on the prices for the semi-finals and finals.
  10. Plus a big chunk from the semi-final matches and 90% of the ticket money from the final, the balance on that match goes to the 'Pool'.
  11. The 'net profit' (as defined by the FA) from the sale of tickets will be split 55% to Bristol City and 45% to Manchester City. Bristol City get an extra chunk as their opponents are in the Premier League. Nothing goes to the FA or any other organisation until the semi-finals nowadays. All the other money earned at the ground goes straight to the home club.
  12. Plus the beer/cider and pie money!
  13. That was one of Gary Johnson’s touchline favourites.
  14. I think that that would be a recipe for chaos.
  15. To amortise over the 7 years you would need to show that it was likely that you would actually extend. If you couldn’t you would have to use two years. More practically, potentially you would be stuck with a player for another 5 years in a contract you couldn’t break.
  16. So my partner died in 2021, connected to her condition. Now my daughter (completely unrelated to my partner) has been diagnosed with the same life limiting condition. Life can be so shit.
  17. He has played more minutes this season than anyone but Vyner, and four times as many as anyone within 5 years of his age. At 19 can't you just give him a break?
  18. Forget the legal dispute - my mate had similar problems - so rang and said he had a problem with his shoulder - so he got an appointment and took a friend with him to talk for him - he was looked after once he was back in the system.
  19. Hi Toad - just keep in there - ring your surgery back and ask for an appointment - they have to give you one and they have to see you. There are many people on here who are happy to simply chat to you and help you out.
  20. That would be cheap-skating it. £13 million - to qualify for £13 million FFP allowance £3 million - Academy/Youth football £1 million - Women's team £1 million - Community work That's £18 million. Then you have to fund the transfer fees up front - another few million a year at least Then capital expenditure. Depending where you are in the ground/training centre development process anywhere from another couple of million on capital expenditure a year to say £75 million on a new stadium and training centre.
  21. Are Conygar still involved? I know they had a period of exclusivity arranged with the owners of the site, but it has all gone quiet.
  22. My recollection was that the Longmoor village permission was given on the condition that the surplus from that development was used exclusively to fund the 'development deficit' on the Sporting Quarter. I agree that permissions go with the land, but there is a more than casual link here. Of course you can sell nearly anything at a price, may be I should have said, that the complexities will reduce the price to one below that which is economically sensible for the Lansdown interests to accept.
  23. It's owned by the Football Club, see 2021 accounts for details.
  24. There are many different registered titles for various bits. Personally I doubt that anyone would really be interested in acquiring anything at this point in time. The inter-relationships between the club/stadium/sporting quarter/Ashton Vale are too complex at the moment, complexity increases risk which reduces prices.
  25. Don't understand the problem. The article says it all: "Mirror Football understands all the pictures were requested by Pele's family or friends who were in attendance at the funeral." Do you expect better by him refusing the wishes of Pele's family and friends? Or do you just get indignant because t'internet allows you to?
