Derby County away match day thread

You must be a tradesman ? Or related to a politician ..... ? -
I thought waving an imaginary card was a bookable offence , it seems that the enforcement of it has waned

I thought his involvement in the opening two goals showcased his progress perfectly Dave The control with his studs to kill an awkward ball at pace , then a fantastic pass as he turned , both in vision and execution allowing Chris Martin to deliver that great ball on the half turn for AW Then , his goal , picks his moment to close down Stearman , like a stalking Leopard , tackles Stearman so cleanly and decisively , off on his run towards goal , a rollover , a step over and.....bang Two showcases of real quality , in a series of actions However promising he’s looked that’s not Antoine of 12-18 months ago , to put together those pieces of skill in the same game , besides many other moments is encouraging to say the least Consistency is his next target

I’d say Everton fans are worse than Leeds , in my previous experience

I know his return to Man Ure hasn’t gone to plan but surely Ronaldos taking the p*ss ?

Without going into a long explanation, I refer my learned friend , to post 8 on the thread , just as a small example

A bit like you with our second most successful manager in a century But then of course , severe embarrassment drives that

Spot on The player he most reminds me of for his constant running and runs (And at times he’s constantly ruining 30-40 yard doggies, not 10 yard runs) , but one who didn’t have the ability and end product of Andi is Liam Robinson Another player much derided, and ultimately didn’t have the quality for this level , but who , I at least admired for his work rate and what he did for the team - he certainly played his part in the Liverpool games

Quite a few There’s a particular one on every match day thread , who posts every time he makes what the poster perceives as any form of error or shortcoming The same poster who used to focus his drivel at Andi Weimann until he shamed him and ridiculed his opinions with his performances So he turned his attention on Chris Martin ... If it wasn’t so embarrassing it would be hilarious

Technically a very good player, knows his own strengths and weaknesses In some ways not too dissimilar to an excellent footballer back at the Gate today - Nicky Morgan, who also lacked a yard of pace but made up for it in his thinking , game awareness, and technical ability

Agree Billy And Pearson brave enough to blood these youngsters The only time you will get a sense of whether they are or will be good enough is when you put them in

This was , and is , absolutely the major attraction in Nigel Pearson’s appointment for me Ive never regarded him as some sort of super coach , but absolutely the man to change mentality across the club , and turn us into a Football Club in its true form And it’s been needed for decades , tho Cotts had a go I have total confidence in him , in time , in changing that mentality amongst players and staff The owner and Chairman changing mentality concerns me more

Wow What a complete c**k -
Firstly , Massive credit to the lad himself who took the opportunity whilst injured to analyse his game and where he needed to improve Also , No coincidence for me that he has two top pros (Though often derided on here ) in Chris Martin and Andi Weimann , alongside him Both great pros , played at highest level and Internationals - two great mentors I’d suggest Antoine himself mentioned how valuable the time was he spent talking with them whilst all were out injured For all the criticism of signings like the two mentioned , the King’s etc , even Simpson - sometimes their value comes out in other ways
