Spot on Fevs The ‘we progressed every season’ is so short sighted it beggars belief , judged purely on a mid table finish slightly higher than before , whilst assembling the biggest and most expensive squad we’ve ever had , with millions of pounds of players not used and cast aside like broken toys As for the self entitlement , I’m not sure where this comes from but it is certainly getting worse Most of the loudest persistent moaners will I’d guess never seen us higher than the Championship and , as I stated on another post earlier we’ve never been a real force at this level , Ever Besides the obvious spell in Div 1 and taking into account the squads and momentum we had , we’ve probably had two opportunities to push on at this level and look to the top in my lifetime Off the back of Joe Jordan’s tenure , and post Cotts Right now , due to the mess created we are fighting for some form of foothold it if people want to have a moan - I suggest they look a lot higher than NP and also , for many , lose the short sighted pink glasses about the post Cotts years , and where it’s brought us We remind me of a school under special measures for terrible performance and problems and NP the old fashioned head brought in to sort issues and get basic stability Is he the Messiah or a coaching genius ? Look to the very top Brighton , Brentford , Norwich etc all had/ have a plan Good business plans and strategy , appointing people in key posts like Dan Ashworth for all his financial backing SL has failed to make such appointments in key roles Until my last breath , I will believe , and now still I have major concerns our glaring and repeated failure has predominantly been in Recruitment Recruitment Recruitment (Players predominantly but ‘across the board’)

We’ve never been a serious club at this level (That’s the stark reality) in our history , yet people are losing their **** with Pearson not establishing us so , with the constraints he’s under ignored A great set of opening results ....no but you’d think we’d just been thumped and humiliated in the three games Areas of concern , frustration..... yes of course but we are playing some good stuff in periods, our problem is consistency over 90 mins Theres no guarantee but the ability to produce these spells is normally a positive one for any side, the transition to 90 min performances is the next big step The impatience and despair is something I can’t grasp We had our chance(s) to punch upwards , with the momentum , squad , assets , and finance - - - post Cotts Promotion We didn’t take them and ended up in a mess - that’s the reality and anyone who thinks we can suddenly turn into a force in this division is going to be disappointed IMV

We haven’t been a ‘good side’ at this level , except for 4 months or so , since we got promoted Pearsons not pulling up any spectacular trees, but the surgery he’s having to do wouldn’t be palatable or acceptable to many managers , to have a manager who accepts the difficulties and is prepared to take it on is a plus for a start. I really wonder what some expect Maybe , like you , I’ve become very used to City’s trials and tribulations over the decades We've had decent periods in all three league games and I’d be more concerned if we had just been thumped at Rotherham for example
