I have that shirt (not Galleys).
Wore it to the 2008 play off final.
Not worn it since.
I really wish City did retro shirts. I'd love one of those. I know Toffs do a version but the badge on theirs is nothing like the actual badge worn at the time.

Funny you should say that. I asked my parents for that shirt for Christmas. As I expectantly tore the wrapping paper off I was confronted with what looked very much like a Forest shirt. I had to hide my disappointment and appear pleased with it. And guess where my old man used to drink ? Yea, the Bay Horse. Back on topic John Galley, along with Chris Garland, was a hero to me.

Spot on, the shock waves of the punk explosion are still reverberating loud, nearly 50 years on.
The Pistols (and their peers The Ramones, Clash, Jam etc) are as important and influential as Elvis, The Beatles and the Stones. They changed the world profoundly, and indirectly affected everything that's happened since, in a real positive way.
All of this. Music had got into a boring old rut. Punk/new wave was like a shot in the arm and changed music forever, and for the good.
