Absolutely love the OSIB podcast, usually much better than the football we have to put up with TBH.
Yeah, there are some episodes that are better than others, but the banter’s fantastic, the guys are usually spot on with their analysis and it’s a bloody good listen. Would love the bloke to go on the podcast and be 1. Interesting 2. Entertaining 3. Able to give and take banter 4. And probably most importantly, not come over as a complete knob head. But given that he’s self assured enough to put his fingers to keyboard after his first listen, think that he may struggle to fulfil the criteria.
But it would be a laugh watching him try though. Special Episode in the offing.
I dont charge much.

What a ***tish post, to out of the blue have a go at people putting something together off their own backs which you can choose to listen to or not. Presume you’ll be setting something up in competition to the team that put this together then, given how awful you think OSIB is. Surely you can do better? No? Thought not. Probably wise as well given the nonsense you post on here most of the time. Get a grip.
Please re read your last 3 words. Thanks.

You probably chose the worst episode you could have chosen for your first listen.
An honest evaluation. I really like listening to Ian on the couple of times I've heard the other podcast. Honest strsiggt to the point and knowledgeable. Is he on here?

The official podcast is the Robins Nest hosted by 'Downsy'. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/listen-to-the-new-robins-nest-podcast/ that might be more to your taste.
OSIB was to my knowledge the first fan run City podcast and is a great listen, Stan and the team have done an amazing job since the beginning and certainly don't begrudge them having a gambling sponsor which helps the podcast and allows giveaways etc. Try a few others and see what you think, I much prefer this style of Podcast and the types of discussion than other more dry and serious ones but each to their own.
A few years ago there were no podcasts about the club now there is:
- Forever Bristol City Podcast as seen on these forums
- BS3 Talk podcast
- robinsatthegate Podcast with Michelle Owen and Gregor McGregor (although they are also sponsored by MansionBet!)
- 3 Peaps In A PodCast
Not bad for free and considering the amount of work that goes into each episode most people are very grateful to have the choice. Its great to have constructive feedback as Stan always asks for on various social media channels but to come on and call it garbage isn't very helpful.
Ok makes sense.

Yes, I think Lez was credible on FBC when he appeared in the earlier episodes.
People can be very different behind a keyboard.
As I have had this link drawn to be before I am not Lez and you can check my IP address I have also been called Simon Parker and have no idea who that is either.

Happy to chat privately in DM if any constructive criticism lad!
1. No gambling plugs
2. Talk about football
3. Have honest debate
4. A bit of research.
Maybe as the other poster said it was a bad day at the office. But if it is sponsored by Mansion Bet then is it an official podcast? If so should be much better.

Haha class tbf, this could be my favourite feedback ever, that’s it the next episode will just be 59 minutes of continuous screaming ending on an additional 2 minutes talking about how Pat Lam should take over as head coach
Are you one of the contributors? I would much rather honest passionate debate than cheap unfunny comedy.

To be fair this was a particularly poor OSIB episode and not demonstrable of the quality normally put out.
@Shtanley and @petehinton do a brilliant job with it and normally get the balance of views, the feeling of the supporters and the amount of humour about right.
Don’t let this one put you off, listen to the one before which was superb or some of the Cider Withs which are excellent.
I will keep an eye on the cider withs an honest account.

Yeah it drives me mad when something which is free with optional attendance isn't up to the standards I expect (when I haven't made any effort to help improve it).
Nice and positive.
Sponsored by Mansionbet is it an official podcast? If so it needs improving massively. Compare it to Watford Post chalk and cheese

Tried this for the first time today.....absolutely dreadful.
First im subjected to a shamless gambling plug, then a Facebook group and then they start talking about Cricket? Are the presenters serious or trying to take the piss with their comments.....I couldn't work out if it was a failed comedy sketch or a genuine serious BCFC podcast. Toilet and phone jokes? Sorry. Terrible.
All 3 of those on the podcast don't seem to know anything about football tactics Bristol City or anything football related.
The one by Headhunter I think is better.....they actually talk about football tactics and the club....straight forward Bristol City talk. Not faultless.
Sorry. Absolute garbage.

If you pick an 11 between the 3 teams we would be lucky to get 2 into the 11.
Bentley but Woodman is pretty good
And 1 of the 2 centre backs.
That says why we are not a top 6 club
With a better manager we would be in a much closer position but for me still not quiet there.
Ultimately it’s about players. The better players the better team.
Football matches don't involve 3 teams so a completely pointless post.

Fair point on those three defensive players. Now go up the other end and see what you think!!!!!
What? Jamal Lowe? Wouldn't get in our side ahead of Wells or Diedhiou.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree then. Palmer for a start hardly got minutes for that Swansea team.
Argument is they signed him to make them better....other argument is that he has hardly got into our team for a year and a half.
Fulton Grimes Smith are no better then Williams Lansbury Nagy etc but far better drilled.....you could argue that Bentley Kalas and Mawson on paper are the best back 3 in the league bar Norwich.

It’s also simple to understand that for all the bullshit and bluster that emanates from the Boardroom our squad is not top 6 quality.
Disagree completely. Swansea, Reading player for player arent better than us.....but far better coached and drilled.

shouldn't be starting for us but seems undroppable.

Excellent take, run and finish....but one swallow doesn't make a summer and there have been far too many occasions where he has fluffed his lines or made the wrong decision this season.
Saying that hopefully today gives him the confidence not only in front of goal but also in his decision making.

Football is on the verge of being stopped unless it sorts itself out. The hugging when scoring a goal or managers doing it is nonsense just don't do it!!
Not just that but managers have been hugging opposition managers before and after games.
Touch fists and leave it at that.

Hope he makes a full recovery.

Goodbye? You would let him go? Don't you think someone so young could improve?
Just the first comparison that came into my head. A top top striker who once missed a lot of chances before improving a lot in his finishing the next season. Not that bad a comparison, as it shows even players who end up world class may have once missed a lot of chances.
If he doesn't improve I would.

Well he played on the wing today. Not sure why he isn't a winger when he protects the full back well, and gets the ball wide and beats players fairly regularly.
I think he is actually underrated by some. Some things he does on the ball is ridiculously good. I think he will go right to the top.
I am sure his finishing can improve. He was very unlucky with that one which was blocked.
Strikers can improve their finishing, especially from his age.
I think back to Luis Suarez in his first season for Liverpool, he missed so many chances.
I am sure there are other examples of players improving massively in their finishing ability.
Players generally improve in areas of their game as they get older. I don't see why Semenyo can't improve with more experience and more coaching.
Strange comparison. Yes players generally improve but if it gets to a point where its time to say goodbye....not yet....but must improve and quickly.
-
Semenyo MUST play out wide.

Made a massive error for the Moore header when he should have scored.....ala Barnsley, ball watching and lost his man.
Needs to stop these.....as too many of these are costing goals fortunately not today.
