Left Atkinson out as injured. Sykes is a fair shout to start but could play Cornick or Weiman there. Not so sure about Naismith I think James is he’s go to man with Scott. I think he may want to bring someone in to play there with James.

Players who will likely start if fit. 4 places up for grabs and we have a lot of competition for those places. Just 1 x Midfield & GK are light. Up front we have 7 for 3 places so possible 1 to many unless 1 is seen as a Scott replacement. MOL McCorrie Vyner Dickie Pring James ? Scott ? Conway ?

Lots of its and buts. As for changing mind I have been very clear from the off set. When he gets 10 goals (league) in a season I will except ‘I am wrong’ How can is say fairer than that. 10 is the minimum a Striker needs to get to be able to take on the mantel as a Striker. I don’t think he has enough composure in front of goal to be a ‘Striker’ (my opinion) Conway on the other hand does and will make a career as a ‘Striker’. I also think Bell is again better in front of goal but does not have the Strength at the moment to take on that central role as a Striker. Seymenyo has other strengths - pace , power and when on top of his game is a massive handful and asset to the team. Would I take him back - Yes Would I play him through the middle - No Why? because I don’t think he will score enough goals. Simply he is better wide on the left. In my opinion he will have a much more successful career in that position. He is young and of course he can prove me wrong. But for the moment I am not changing my opinion. But equally I don’t expect you to either. That’s the purpose of debate and a fundamental part of OTIB If people did not keep bringing it up ( I have not ) then I would not keep having defending myself when others get personal or rude ( I note you don’t) but you do say ignore him ( that’s kind of the same) it’s instigating others and I would maybe think about that as I think it creates a bullying environment. I never bring the post up. I just respond I never call anyone anything rude in a post. We all have different opinions and that is a big part of OTIB the debate. Unfortunately a few on here don’t get that and result to name calling and abuse.

I will be talking ‘shite’ when he scores 10 goals in a season. Surely not to much to ask for a ‘Striker’…. Of course if he can’t quiet manage that, then maybe, just maybe i am right… He has not done it for last 2 seasons. But let’s not let the facts get in the way. Lets see what he does next year and the year after and the year after. He has plenty of time to prove me wrong. But until then it’s not my fault. All I did was say what I saw. So far looks pretty poor. Looks like he would get caught every time they play inside down the right. Gets caught for pace and does not track his runner. It’s against Celtic and maybe he is not interested as leaving. He is not £2m worth looking at this so far.

Masson Clarke looks a decent player. Was at Barnet Posh don’t do cheap deals and don’t know what they paid I guess 150k Shame as £1m would be a good punt. Strong, got pace and pretty sure would give championship defences a difficult time.

Have a feeling he might stay one more year. £25m asking price could price him out of deal. Ward Prouse at Southampton will move for 25m ish so on paper that looks a better deal. Hope he goes and we get a loan back. Circa 20m would still be a pretty decent deal. Brighton could have the money if they sell 2 players.

The key is Scott to next season. If he goes and we have 15m added to budget then top 6 is def possibility. If he stays then with 3 or 4 clever signings top 6 is possible If we just continue improvement as this year and a few singing then top 10 is pretty likely. I think Pearson has his team in mind and he is clear on the missing pieces. We need to both trust and back him and I actually believe in the next 3 years we will be playing in the prem have not thought that for a very long time.

Massive progress 3 or 4 players away from a promotion push. Football is much better to watch We stay in games for 90 mins Much harder to beat don’t look a soft touch anymore. More pace in the side. Very little dead wood in the squad Transfer policy looks much better Have the best young player outside the prem Have a good manager who knows how to get promotion. 7 so far this season… That was my post a few years ago Said I will change the title if he scores 10 league goals in a season. Still waiting… But can’t say the kid has not done well for himself and he will be a premiership player next season that’s some achievement If he gets 10 in the premiership next season that will be some achievement and hopefully we get a few quid in bonus payments.

Only 29 got 2 or 3 good years left. If we can afford him it’s a no brainer. Play in at least 3 positions. Attitude never in question model pro , Bristolian and a great player. Hope it’s true. Also Pring is nearly 26 not as young as some think on hear. Pring and Joe cut from the same cloth. Would make are squad much stronger.

Still the facts say 6 goals and it’s almost Feb. Again not my fault they are the stats. A ‘Striker’ will judged on his goals and he only has 6. Again not saying he ain’t good. He is someone who will only make it playing wide in a front three said that from day one. Why wide? Because he ain’t a Striker he is not good enough in front of goal and is not natural finisher. Let’s see how many he scores for Bournemouth. Next season he will be back in the championship so he will get another crack at 10 or more in this division. Why ? 6 goals so far does not say prolific to me. Its just my opinion. Its not my fault thats what the stats say that’s down to Antoine and his ability to find the back of the net. Great winger (or wide forward) if you prefer. Main Striker through the middle - No. Why? Simply he’s finishing is not good enough. Why? He ain’t a natural finisher. Watch Wells, Conway, Bell and Martin they all that ability not to panic and pick there finish. In (my opinion) Antoine has not got that. That’s why I would play him wide and he is very good there. Opinions - that just mine. Will he score regularly in the Premiership? I say no he is not at the level in front of goal. Only he can prove if that is right or wrong by scoring goals. Not me, not you it’s down to Antoine.

28 games played But take the point. 6 in 28 = 10 just about for the season. Granted not been fit but he is never fit for a season always misses chunks of games. 9m for a 10 a season goal Striker looks a bit to much 9m for a 10 a season Winger looks a much better and he does get assists. I hope Conway is that 15/20 a season ‘Striker’ we need.
