I've heard they hold a great rally though, so must be worth a visit for motorsport fans -

If this is true, it actually might be quite an intelligent way of doing the deal (depending on the fee, of course) -

Slightly surprising if so. Wonder if it's a wage/age related thing for James and an injury related thing for Williams. Both are perfectly good contributors when fit. -

Each to their own. Personally, I like the fact that Mehmeti gets the ball, takes responsiblity, and tries to make things happen. He does beat players and take players out the game, even if some fans strangely persist with the narrative that he never does anything useful. He's a promising young player who needs an investment of time and coaching. Cornick is a signing I find much more frustrating. A player with Championship experience who is supposedly in his prime, who should have been ready to hit the ground running. Realistically, he's come in and offered nothing. And unlike Mehmeti, there's no real possibility of development. Mehmeti appears to have the raw ingredients but struggles to apply them, whereas Cornick looks like a player who doesn't 'have anything about him'. Nothing against him personally, he tries his best, but just a serious lack of quality there. -

Yes. People just magically forget about it after a bad 45 minutes. Our fans seem to do exactly the same with Conway too, he "needs replacing" if he goes a half of football without scoring. -

Seriously? Bell? Cornick? Yeboah if you count him as a "proper" member of the squad? -

Like many young players, he has good days and bad days. I find him incredibly frustrating at times too, but the level of criticism he gets is almost laughable. He's certanly not our worst player. -

11 poor attacking performances from our players, yet apparently Mehmeti is soley responsible for it. Those with an agenda against him could at least bother to make it look a little less blatant -

We don't, because we're clearly not going to get relegated. -

Very soft goal to concede after a reasonably good start. Frustrating -

1) Only songs that can be heard on Robins TV are coming from the away end. 2) You're at the game in the away end and on your phone posting on the forum......and you're complaining that our fans aren't being loud enough? Do you see the irony in that? -

Can't hear anything from Coventry on Robins TV. Our fans seemingly dominating the atmosphere. -
I wouldn't mind that if it were indeed that simple. But what evidence is there to suggest that our system, tactics, and style of play under Manning are more conducive to long term success than under Pearson? It appears to be a new plan that doesn't have any greater chance of success than the plan we already had.

It's incredible that we have fans who genuinely believe Pearson didn't move the club forward

Also, the way our fanbase seems to flip flop on Conway is amazing. A few weeks ago he was sh*t. Then he scored away at West Ham and he was great. Then we lost to PNE and he was sh*t again. Then we beat West Ham at home and we were worried about Bournemouth taking him. Now we've drawn with Watford and we need to replace him ASAP. F****** hell -

I think our fans are very harsh on Conway at times. He's 21 and averaging a goal every 178 minutes this season. His rate of return was very similar last season too. I think his all-round game is pretty decent, without him really excelling in any one particular area. I hate to use the term, but to me he feels like a natural goalscorer. Personally, I'm not sure that we could expect to sign a better 21 year old striker than Tommy Conway. If anything, I'd be inclined to try and move on Wells and/or Cornick in order to fund another forward option. -

Think that's slightly generous. Set piece delivery was very good, but in open play very little came off for him (with the obvious exception of the tap in). Also thought his pressing lacked a bit of intensity compared to our other midfielders and forwards. Hopefully it's just a case of him taking a couple of weeks to assimilate. -

Think he has all the attributes, just a little rusty after being out for so long. -

Spot on. He'll have days where he makes some great saves, and he'll have days where he makes a few howlers (he seems especially prone to the ball going "through" him at times). His starting position can be great for being "proactive" on the edge of his box, but his kicking leaves a lot to be desired. He's fine. Not good, not awful, just fine. -

Absolutely agree. I've just seen the club have published the below too: Comes across as incredibly tinpot - it really is the sort of boast you'd expect from a League 2 team. IMHO this kind of thing celebrates and cements a small club mentality. The sooner we can get away from this, the better.- 593 replies
