That’s what I thought at the time. I’ve just watched the highlights and this confirms my opinion. The first screenshot shows the position of the Huddersfield’s players arm which is definitely not in an unnatural position. Therefore no penalty. The second shows the referee’s position. From where she was she couldn’t possibly see what really happened so the penalty award was just a guess
Where's Mr & Mrs Zapruder when you need them ?

What was interesting was the fans in the South Stand immediately called for a penalty and it wasn't just a hopeful shout, either, it was a demand .

This decision has genuinely created some good stuff on the forum. For me it has demonstrated that we all are passionate about the game, we care deeply for the rules (unlike our opposition who sought to bend them with time wasting etc) and we care about the right thing being done.
Who is to say that the cross (had it not have hit the defender) wouldn't have been converted and we drew 1-1 anyway?
FFS don't tell the HTFC fans that, there'll be another 300 comments on the Beeb site !

Had some fun on BBC comments , they are as eggy as **** ! One made me think of the old Billy Bunter 50's series (ask yer grandads).........."It was nowhere near his hand, even if it was it wasn't intentional"
Sir I never touched Coker's chocolate cake, even if I did ,it wasn't very nice !

Looked harsh on the TV but we didn't get any good angles.
Surprised so many people are moaning about their time wasting! The win was crucial for them and the two points dropped could see them relegated.
Good, but not at the expense of Brum !

After not having attended a game since Swansea for my own sanity, performances and results have picked up. Some on here and social media believing Manning is in fact the second coming. So against my best judgement, I decided to have another look myself.
Wow, that was dire! It confirmed everything we already knew. This new and improved Manningball was a flash in the pan. That my friends is the football you have to look forward to next season, which will come as no surprise to many.
Good luck all for next season. I shall look forward to a return to the gate in a year or two.
Bye then !

Evil Post reports that the planned redevelopment of the Minimal will provide a capacity of around 18,000. Can someone tell me what the point of that is when you have less than 8,000 fans?
Thought it was going to be 27001 ?

I honestly think home fans behind both goals can help the side. It helps a side.
The other issue is of course cost and revenue. There are a few circles to square but it can't help when you have a while end whereby away fans who are more likely to stand and sing perhaps..our own standing fans tucked into a corner.
There had to be a better way than the current scenario. Giving away fans a whole stand or most of it anyway just doesn't make sense from a football angle..Hull owner said similar, he mentioned why he was moving away fans from behind the goal and referred to the goalkeeper. Found a quick quote.
It is relatively marginal in terms of total revenue, as a %...plus would some home fans in games especially where away fans don't bring many not offset some of this.
You're forgetting one thing......I expect the Hull owner cares about the club , and results !

There are too many championship clubs with initials BCFC. One of them should be demoted this season and never allowed to return!
My first away match as a seven year old, for City in an FA Cup game at St Andrews. We lost and I've never forgiven them as they are a total jinx to us. Why we let them off the hook in 2017, I'll never know. So please to the football gods, at least give me one season without them beating us.
3-2 wasn't it ?

I had one at Ventnor IOW (pitch & put)
