As my one and only time on the pitch too, I plucked a few blades of grass from the centre circle after the game as a memento. Went home, put them in a small, square plastic box. I have no idea what happened to it.😐

Done the same at coventry when we stayed up

Think it’s 3 hamstrings now, not that it matters.

My only hope is that it is indeed a full pre-season that’s needed to “cure” him.

So much potential what little we saw of him hope he gets through this but a big ask .

Couldn't agree more. The quality has varied from the dream results coming true in the First Division to a team of mid teenage boys at the bottom of Division Four. In 1982, I did something that Lansdown never has or never will do. I spent the £90 of cash in my savings bank account on shares to keep City in business. And so did around 2,000 others.

I have little respect now for SL as over 25 years he has spent peanuts on City, City Women and Bristol Rugby. When he completely clears his bank account as I did, I'll grant him some respect. He is taking the piss out of us supporters. Not funding the playing staff to give us a better chance of top quality football.

And employing a head coach who is trying to do the impossible; to play the same style and quality as the Man City's, Real Madrid's with Second and Third Division quality playing staff. They're doing their very best but the style of play that Manning is trying to produce is way beyond our players ability. So send Manning back to Man City where he can coach their thirteen year olds!

Yes my bruv worked as an apprentice carpet fitter maggs clifton gave his total wage at the time for shares hence mum had no house keepin money that week 😄only received one share certificate but you and him were part of keeping us alive .

Bloody hell, if you've been watching City 60 years you'll have seen a lot of torrid crap!

Very true give or take the old prem league and a few cup classics  some of the Best was the fourth division days young players fighting for the shirt wingers etc none of this chess football sideways and backwards  the T.C days .

Indeed, it just proved to me one final time that Manning prefers to set up not to lose rather than play more expansive football to try and win.

In fact I've been hoping he would prove me wrong ever since the negative way he set up in his first game at QPR.

Two decent wins aligned with one good performance in the past few weeks has not convinced me that next season won't be more of the same dreary boring football.

Exactly  im worried where were gonna get our fifty odd points to stay up next year one good performance  every six games wont cut it .

As soon as they said it was going to be mainly about City women I turned off. Not that I dislike them - hell, I watched the entire 90 mins on Sky yesterday - but I'm only inerested in non matchday mens team discussion.

Yeh it was on in our local nobody watching it .

Poor old Dave. But he is used to being drowned out!

City Women bless them look doomed. What are their attendances like?

McCrorie was clearly not a panic buy, we scouted him for a good while, and his game is more a buccaneering RB, one to offer something different to Tanner.  He’s come back from a near-career threatening injury, and there are gonna be bumps in the road.  It’s not unusual for a player to come back in part way through a season and perform inconsistently like this.  As a bare minimum he needs preseason.

Not sure what his best position is Dave carrying a bit of beef to get down the flanks maybe stick him in midfield as were by far not big spenders i wouldave been looking elsewhere but we will see .

I don’t think Hull were hugely impressed, hence why they looked to strengthen if there was a chance for Burnley to recall him.  I think at this level from watching him at Burnley, Hull and more closely with us, he’s a player that is more suited to a “team” with better players around him than himself.  I don’t see him being able to lift Bristol City.

So, imho, it’s about fit (not fitness!) with Bristol City, and I don’t think he’s a great fit.  He’s too lightweight for what we need.  Going OTT he’s too much of a luxury for his set-pieces.  And in Bird, TGH and even Roberts, the difference he’d make on set-pieces doesn’t warrant signing him.  We should not be building a team around one player!  That is foolhardy.  Nor one player, still unproven, who’ll be 25 by the time the season starts.

So I wouldn’t sign him, whatever the fee is, because of the above and the wages will be top end too.

Is he?  He’s been on the periphery in pretty much every game.

I would’ve loved us to sign Twine 3 years ago for near bugger-all as a punt.  But I don’t want us to pay £x million for a player who looks like he doesn’t fit.  If there is one positive from this loan, it’s that it’s told us who we don’t want.

That is down to the imagination of the Recruitment process.  We attracted Dickie, Knight, Bird, Roberts, etc, so it’s not Mission Impossible to sign players better than we have.

I agree not for me not impressed with McCrorrie for what we paid i dont know what he offes not as good as Tanner at fullback and not quick enough to bomb down the wings .panic buy .

So….why the MASS exodus of fans (a) when Huddersfield scored (b) on 85 mins?? I hate it when fans leave early at the best of times but that was embarrassing today. We have been on a good run of late and I know things are petering out to another season of mid-tableness but hey…fair enough if we’re losing 3-0 or similar! I’d like to know how many City fans saw Nahki’s penalty scored as we fought regardless of performance to get on level terms.

Being quite honest i stayed but can see why people left who could see us scoring sat we didnt have a,shot first half players didnt look interested.

Agree with this... we need some pace and physicality at the top end of the pitch and Twine hasn't shown enough to justify a hefty transfer fee.

Yeh just ok doesnt stand out certainly not worth money mentioned

He can bring in any players he likes, it’s his brand on football I can’t get behind.

People around me said the Blackburn game wasn’t great, they just made mistakes that lead to goals.

My worry is can we trust ourselves to give him and Tinnion any small amount we might get judging on cornick mbude etc not overly convinced with mcCrorie for 2ml

Once upon a time in my day it was all about going to a game and gazing in awe as your local chairman, ie for us the late and loved Harry Dolman, swept into the car park in his RR, cigar alight and breezed into the directors entrance, getting your Bovril in the East End and watching Big John's Brylcreem slip another past the opposing keeper. Now you have to have a degree in Accountancy to compete on a fans forum. Happy Days now long gone .😪

What lengths theyl go to to promote leeds 😄

Aye. Sykes, Twine, Conway, Wells and Mehmeti were awful last night..

Strange thread imo. Sykes has made a massive difference in the recent great form, starting from when he came on against Swansea to break the losing trend

Il say one thing when hes not playing we dont half miss him

There are too many championship clubs with initials BCFC. One of them should be demoted this season and never allowed to return!

My first away match as a seven year old, for City in an FA Cup game at St Andrews. We lost and I've never forgiven them as they are a total jinx to us. Why we let them off the hook in 2017, I'll never know. So please to the football gods, at least give me one season without them beating us.

Hate em got off New street 70s zulus chasing us got taxi to st andrews Bastard taxi driving me round same roundabout three times 😄
