  1. Rather than protest how about some support|? Sounds like spoilt kids cant get their own way. We are City bigger than Pearson Lansdown whoever move on. Talk about soft lads. Tripe.
  2. Nothing wrong with the squad, it's the current team by way of injuries is the problem
  3. I think Steve has had his mind made up, the hope that he could get promotion with Pearson has failed, so far, and given Steve has indicated he wants to sell the stock on BCFC and BS is not high, or high enough to attract a buyer. He is a shrewd cookie and wont possibly throw good money after bad, We don't know what the terms of Pearson's contract was but I would bet that Promotion was a clause, or at least some real progress in league position, this has not happened, although currently we sit 8th. Pearson is the second longest serving manager in the league, we lovely City fans are so patient and willing to suffer season after season of dullness ...maybe we are on the cusp of greatness, but cannot see it. Steve and Co have to take the major responsibility for this, not Nigel, but the harsh reality will be that it wont be Steve that walks. So we are left in limbo, until we get a vibrant multi millionaire or billionaire to splash the cash, I have looked but cannot find anyone so bonkers.
  4. Let me try and clarify the situation.... Nigel has a health issue, which probably reduces his capacity to manage. SL obviously is not going to extend his contract whilst there is doubt. Forget the past, future, this is the here and now position.
  5. Well it would be crazy even beyond any theories on here that SL has not had any dialogue with Pearson be it personal or business. If that is the case then I fully back Nigel ....but it does seem very far fetched.
  6. How do you know that SL or JL have not communicated this? You say this is nothing to do with his health and yet it would seem to be the issue here. Harry makes a very good argument for this but it seems you and others cant accept the most obvious scenario. By nature health issues are very personal and not to be broadcast, which is why perhaps there is no news that we are privvy too. OK Pearson has made a couple of veiled comments which is very much his style, if his condition means he cannot fulfill his duties then he obviously would be looking for financial security by way of a contact extension...SL is no mug. I fully support Nigel but this hysteria on here is crazy, so fickle, if we lost on Saturday the mood in the room would be very different, it might even change as soon as next Saturday, for me the club is more important than any one person be it Nige Steve or Jon.
  7. Well I was resigned to having to suffer another crap weekend. Get Innnnnnn.
  8. The dark haired player is the other Gordon ,Parr. As Gordon was a right half back it would be the 6 shirt..so not sure. Sad to hear his passing, very much in my team as a youth. Parr Connor Low...some threesome in front of Thresher and Briggs.
  9. Silly pointless rivalry not wanting them to qualify...let them be vindictive not us.
  10. God how much stress do you have to endure with BCFC...this is for you all you 'gonna watch Newcastle' and similar, just as well some of still believe.
  11. You called them supporters, I would question that. My weekend was ruined but at least the lawns got a good going over.
  12. I wish I had some of your dislike for the club, results like this would be brilliant. Why do you hang around here like a bad smell? Weirdo.
  13. Tight at the back and toothless up front....now that's a contradiction. ? Our lack of goals is so boring, of course grateful for the clean sheets but we seem to be lacking the skill set to score, but when you look at the training vids it all seems so easy....this is not the City we are accustomed too. I am therefore going 4-1.
  14. Apart from the '76 squad..Gibson, Briggs, Thresher, Parr, Connor, Low, Derrick, Clark, Atyeo, Williams, Hooper. Too early for most on here but a entertaining team.
  15. Any point is a good one at the moment with injuries we have, when Conway returns I do think we can do even better.
  16. That Andy ..delights that we go one down and playing well and then hides when we won, what a sad sack?
  17. Just watched the goals ...thanks Nick, top man, two very good finishes Bell sending it back from where it came from...class. Loved Sykes putting a Swan defender on the ground who waves for a foull ...nowhere near him.
  18. Fabulous.....if we had lost it would have been a poor start to the season, this win makes it a good start, just need some luck at home and we be just fine.
