  1. Ha do me a favour despite all the anger and hot air on here...given the opportunity to ask difficult questions face to face they choke. happened at the 3 Lions but on here it's toxic.
  2. The final half hour at Boro was awful...sorry but you are pretty much entrenched as many others on here are that Manning can do no good even when winning...there will i hope be a lot of back peddling before the end of the season. It used to be not Mannings fault but Steve or Jon, Tinman et all for hiring him, so effing fickle. So if not Manning who? Forget Nigel, Neil not gonna happen, we have a promising coach we need to show some bottle and give him time.
  3. I give you West Ham 'Boro, Saints Forest off the top ... and although there have been some poor games to take this stance is well just underlines what I am saying about Doom mongering on here, he inherited a paper thin squad with the best talent flogged off and not replaced, and yet we won't get relegated this season or next. IF he get the sack just who the Hell do we turn to anyway? Because for the life of me I can't think of anyone and no can anyone on here too...unless you can.
  4. Yep I get it really, but it's still too early yet to pull the trigger imo. Let's hope for a few good performances in the run in, but overall I had greater expectations with Manning given his last appointment, but I will say we haven't suffered heavy defeats and been in all the games thus far, I really don't think we are a million miles away from where we want to be. These runs do happen, look at Blackburn at the moment, what is it 6 defeats on the bounce? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
  5. Blimey this OTIB epidemic has reached Aus...honestly what the hell do we know just what the players are thinking? Well yes indeed, glass half full always, without belief what is the point in doing anything in life? From a belief comes attainment and success ...look at Pep's and Klopp' take on it...but the Bristol way is I am afraid is very defeatist ...why that is I don't know, I was born in Bristol and left the area to join the RAF at 18, perhaps that 'saved' me. Perhaps we can now kick on and win a few, (more), 9 games = 27 points on offer we could just about get 6th even allowing for a defeat and a draw.
  6. No, I went to the pictures...not really fam around for Mothers Day. Plus Spurs beating Villa and a great match Man City and Liverpool, and with City winning a great day...until you read OTIB and you realise nothing has really changed still dripping misery on here.
  7. Don't agree they were exactly what we find a problem with.
  8. Why concentrate on the negative, we were tight and how many shots did they have ? Exactly.... If you crave entertainment go to the cinema...football is not a guaranteed outcome.
  9. Some of you should question your suitability in calling yourselves City supporters. Cynical doesn't even come close...miserable lot.
  10. Don't know what you expected, Swansea play possession football they were always going to be hard to break down, I of course sympathise with shelling out and watching a dull game, but I always celebrate a win and not the performance. Any win instills a better feeling and hopefully performance for the next match. Of course it would be great if we played like Brazil, but that might be a few games off just yet.
  11. yesssssssssssssssssssssss ******* get innnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn MOANERS OUT!
  12. The answer then is score more goals, simple really, get a striker in that can give us 20 goals a season and the picture looks a lot better. OK I am being a bit facetious but the crux of any good team is starting from the back and having a solid defence, which is what we have in general...despite our run of poor results I reiterate we have not taken a real beating and our goal difference is minus 2 or three which is worth a point. Sadly Tommy form has coincided with defeats, IF we could dig up a goal scorer from the inner sanctum that is the centre of excellence how great that would be? Perhaps a Yeboah type, you know young keen and hungry, he should never been loaned out...and in fact the whole situation with the kids not featuring in the matchday line is is very concerning. One thing with Nigel he was excellent with the kids and gave them a purpose, not sure now. Of course this could be very much a Tinnion vs Manning thing, it does seem there is a lot of unease around the place which begs the question where is the direction from the Board? John is not the bloke who would be able to sort out any issues if there is one, it just seems altogether completely rudderless at the minute. I still think we need to be patient despite me calling out Manning after QPR, in fact after every defeat I want to sack the World or at least football, but like I said a few more goals then we would be top 6 not looking at the trap door.
  13. How on Earth can you want to lose? A win at Ipswich could be the spring board we need, any win ...but you have made your mind up, just as well you were not the one to sack Fergie when he was one defeat allegedly from the push. You drip misery not sure any new coach manager would meet with your approval. Football is a dynamic business just a few weeks ago we had back to back wins, and ended Saints long unbeaten run, that feeling was superb but this is the real World and throwing out the babies in the bath water is not the answer. I think we will be fine, but we need to be a bit more patient....it's not as if we are getting stuffed 4 or 5 the REAL problem is out misfiring strikers. If TC was on form we would be having a very different conversation.
  14. What City supporter would want a 7-0 thrashing? Well possibly a few on here I could think of just to cement their position regarding Manning etc. Some of the comments of late are pretty much embarrassing, I get the frustration but to sack everyone including the guy who keeps this club afloat is either naive or just brain dead. This game is a 'free hit' in that no one expects any return, Sunday a different matter. Lose Sunday and I feel there is no more excuses and he should go.
  15. I wish I couldn't care...you know just pay up and have a few beers a burger and watch a good game with a few goals, like it was in the old East End days...but this is so sterile predictable and crap, but I will be just the same Tuesday, next Saturday and so on..............I wish there was an element of a Rugby fan in me you know the type.
  16. Another Saturday ruined.... Jeez you would think after all these years I would have ditched this ******* routine.
  17. If we do then it will be deserved considering where we were/ are.
  18. Saw the line up and it was always going to be another defeat. 19 or so attempts and still fired blanks, to state the 'bleedin obvious we don't have a striker. This is indeed grim, 3 defeats on the trot and next up Ipswich, what I don't get is the not filling the bench with subs, seems like Manning is making a statement, my support for him has evaporated God knows what the next move from the board will be, my guess eff all, but we need some sort of intervention before we slide if not this season the next to League 1. We are really a cheapskate club we deserve better than this.
  19. Onwards and upwards? Unlike the doom mongers on here that want to take a wrecking ball to the club, and to think we laugh at the Gash when JB was at the helm. Talk about fickle.
  20. He knows which side his bread is buttered? He wouldn't want a rep in dissing Managers I suppose. Pearson's reputation in being a awkward customer is well documented, and perhaps is the reason he is still unemployed, not that should be a problem with his pay off.
