@sinenomine Whats with the puzzling/confused face? It’s pretty obvious that if Pearson is signing majority white players then on average you are going to end up with more white players on the pitch.

I’m not calling Pearson a racist by any stretch as he clearly isn’t, but he does come across as a type of manager who likes hard working brexit means brexit type players. I’d probably put a bet on that most of his signings, if not all, have been white British or Irish players.

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, as it must do to some degree as it does in life, but how often do people openly hear racist abuse at city? I can honestly say in my 30ish years of watching city, I’ve never heard a racist remark.

The club do a few times play 14/15 year olds in the under 23 games, mainly the cup ones but as their names are not known no one on here picks up on it, as let’s me honest there are a lot of kids in the academy.

It’s almost like they have had access to a lot more money the past few years….

Denbury, for a start it’s not the club as they don’t own the ground and two Ashton gate limited won’t bother doing it due to the costs involved.

This is what I meant, there would had been games with really low crowds etc. Also, a lot who went that stage are likely to not have had a wife and kids at home, no family, able to drink plenty of beer and had lots of mates around you. That first season in there, when they didn’t have “overflow” and was purely the 248 was the best.

I was actually, I was one of the 248 that got season tickets in there at the start, I have to admit those years were a laugh but even then it did start to dip towards the end. Was it really that good, or is it rose tinted glasses and an age thing?

In what good old days were there non stop singing? I think a lot of people have rose tinted glasses, we’re probably a lot younger at that time too. I’ve been following city since the early 90s, at no point throughout that time has there been non stop singing.

Eliasson, 19/20 season for us 3 goals. 12 assists. I wouldn’t say 4 goals and 4 assists over a whole season for a winger is at all good.

I just looked at some more stats for o dowda, Last Year at Cardiff, 39 games played, 3 goals, 3 assists, that’s dreadful for a winger. Year before for us, 21 games, 1 goal, 0 assists. Absolutely dreadful

I’ll have to pull you up on that, O Dowda wasn’t decent throughout his whole career here, he should never of been given an contract extension. The stats are simply there to prove it aswell.

People saying “absolutely useless at Ashton gate” Go to Ashton gate when it isn’t match day, you will have signal, it isn’t in some sort of black hole for mobile signal. You have 20k people all wanting to get on their phones in a much much smaller space than normal, all at the same time, I.e half time etc There is a reason why places like Glastonbury have EE bring in mobile masts etc when it’s festival time.
