  1. Linesman would have still flagged him offside like he did from the long ball from Max when Wells was at least 10 yards onside!
  2. It would all depend on what swearing you've been doing. Are you joining in with "the referee's a w*nker" or are you shouting and swearing on your own. From your initial post and subsequent attitude to @W-S-M Seagull, I will presume its the second one.
  3. I think in fairness to Scott for the first dribble, it would have been quite difficult to pull the ball back as far to AW on the penalty spot for a shot due to the angle he was running. NW was in and around the 6 yard box but marked. Scott went to trick the goalie at the near post and because he’s hit it waist high, the goalie has been able to react. His 2nd run, when he got to the edge of the area and shot, the only person to his left open was Jay Dasilva. Scott would be better off lumping it all the way back to Max instead of setting up Jay for a shot, so I don’t blame him for shooting there either. I felt last night Scott actually felt let down by some of his team mates and thought he’s going to have to do this himself. Really felt like a player taking the game by the scruff of the neck. Not seen anyone do that for us for years. The set pieces, I think we recognised we had no real aerial threat so tried short corners, which is a good idea if we had a plan for them, which we didn’t. All we did was play it short and then lump it in anyway, or it was blocked. I think we should just let Scott stay on them but instruct him everytime just to whip it in at the 6 yard box. The more he takes, the better he will get. There will be some that he’ll get wrong, but it’s all about learning and improving.
  4. That was easily the worst refereeing/officals performance I think I've ever seen. How Norwoods knee high challenge studs first into Williams knee was not even noticed. Sheff Utd were the worst team apart from us I've seen in at least 3 seasons. How they won that game and are anywhere near the top of of the league is scandalous. I will enjoy watching them not make anything of this season.
  5. Oi, I am currently in 2098 on Football Manager 21 and am fresh off of a 46th consecutive Premier League title with the City and I have plenty of patience for Pearson ?
  6. Exactly, we don’t call Spain Espana or Germany Deutschland. Just as we are not England in these other countries.
  7. And at RCB! After 40 seconds he was at the byline putting in a cross.
  8. Surely it's a free kick to us then because he obstructed Scott without any intention of playing the ball.
  9. Both, you know we'll sign an amazing wing back and then magically change our formation to 4 at the back. On a more serious note, we have Jay on the left who is very tidy on the ball, quite good defending one-on-one I think, but 5'2" and can't cross for toffee and Pring, who is athletic, powerful, determined but is very naive IMO on the ball. On the right, Sykes who is being played out of position and I think defensively is quite good, aggressive, good engine, but another whose final ball is poor which is worrying if he's supposed to be more of an attack minded midfielder, Tanner who to me seems more of an old school full back than a wing back or RCB and Wilson who I'm guessing has had some fitness/getting used to training and match speed issues. In an ideal world, we'd have Pring and Wilson for what attributes I think they could bring and once Wilson is fit again, would love to see this. They directness and ability in the final third of both could cover for what they make lack in defensive attributes.
  10. So you want to play Pring at right back, Vyner at left back, no right winger and "Seymenyo" (whoever that is) somewhere around Row M? I would have to agree with the clueless bit.
  11. Having lived in the centre of Manchester for 3 years, I can assure you on a home match day, every pub and bar is full of United fans. If Man City are at home, it was a ghost town.
  12. I think Pickfords reaction is the biggest indicator. After the contact is made he just lies on the pitch trying to disappear. After the penalty is scored, he is holding his hands up apologising to team mates, fans, etc. If Kane had dived, Pickford would have been all over the ref arguing his case.
  13. When we have Wells and Conway up front, we keep the ball on the floor, build up play and attack using the space down the sides. As soon as Semenyo plays, we've starting hoofing the ball up to him. If played the same way, we'd be doing fine, but our players just do not have the football intelligence to not hoof it to a physical presence up front. They do the same with Martin.
  14. As if! If he slightly miss-kicks a clearance you can imagine the uproar!
  15. If Bentley is poor at coming for crosses and dominating the area, we need to ensure the defenders in front of him can do that for him. We need tall aggressive defenders who will put their heads where it hurts, block crosses, and leave Bents to his positives of shot stopping and one on one’s. We play Andy King at centre back. A 5’ 10” attacking midfielder. If @Logical-City truly believes DB is the cause of our defensive issues then they does not understand football.
  16. I’m a Bengals fan so after having a shocking start they pulled it back over the last two games. Prevented Burrows getting sacked as much which was a nice change!
  17. Thats been blown way out of proportion. If you look at the League celebrations there are many pictures and videos of the staff member involved in the celebrations including being sat on Grealish's shoulders. I've seen Scott Murray stand with both his arms out wide as players take of a training vest and sling it on his arm but towards the end they started chucking it on his head. Did I take that as rich players making fun of of a kitman, or players having a laugh with a friend/colleague. Maybe, just maybe, Harland has only known the bloke a month or so, so didn't feel it appropriate to join in that 'joke'.
  18. If you want a comparison to another club at our level, listen to the Swansea commentary of their recent game v Watford. The main commentator seemed to forget he was commentating and didn't really talk about what was happening, the co-commentator must have thought he was in the stands watching it as all he did was shout "YESSSSS". Not to mention it's in strong Welsh accents making it even harder to understand what they were on about anyway.
  19. Every cross seemed to be a bit aimless, curling away from the goal and slightly behind where the attackers were. The one time we cut inside and 'crossed' the ball from Williams, Conway got a glancing header and Wells could have diverted it in. We needed to get to the byline and drill the ball across at shin height for our good finishers and their big centre backs to slice it in.
  20. I'm not normally that critical of RobinsTV but it's not just the lead commentator. The co-commentator, whether it's Tinman, Hines, etc are always crazily biased.
  21. Still on FM21 and just won my 41st straight Premier League title with City.
