  1. Today we have a +2 goal difference. Think the last time we had that was a couple of years ago when Holden made his good start to the season. Onwards and upwards...
  2. Maybe the Highways Agency wanted their cone back...
  3. I know of a man who seems able to stitch together a club purchase on behalf of Americans and has excellent contacts with the Lansdowns. He would even be prepared to run the club as CEO for the new owners. Welcome back Mark Ashton. Good night all, sweet dreams....
  4. Is it because a small number of them behave like total Richardheads? Flares, bottles etc - it needs to stop and when it does maybe restrictions might relax. Reading through this some still don't seem to get the basic truth - using flares in a football ground isn't allowed. Simple.
  5. Sad news - another bit of my childhood gone. They'll be digging a hole - hole in the ground, big and sort of round...
  6. Good news, but sad that it's come to this. Would also add similar sanctions for those that throw bottles, cans etc. onto the pitch. Unfortunately we had a few of those last year and that needs to stop also.
  7. Was at Taunton yesterday and unfortunately have to say that was just about the worst performance I've seen from a Yorkshire side in the 50 something years I've been watching. More leaving this year, obviously including KC. Central contract absences are one thing but we've always lived that. Many things still very difficult within - definitely trouble at 'mill Was very surprised that Somerset didn't declare and give Yorkshire an awkward last 20-30 minutes to finish the day. Somerset should be winning this comfortably but seem to struggle killing teams off.
  8. I changed tactics a while ago and now focus on eliminating options. Mostly working, but which is why I now usually get to the last line:
  9. ... and you didn't take her use of the word 'little' as a sign of potential issues?
  10. Yup, just back myself. Amazing performer. Wasn't quite sure about the sound system early on from where I was but it seemed to get sorted out well enough. Great night though...
  11. Long Ashton all day long....
  12. You would think so, but football is full of managers that think they can succeed with a player where others have failed. Mind you, even Ashton won't take Bakinson back, which says something.
  13. If it's an attitude thing and it's got that bad maybe we should pay him up and get rid. Why have him hanging around with young developing players?
  14. Seems very short sighted by the club - lots of folk are struggling with the cost of living, could well be reluctant to part with a lump sum and won't be finding ridiculous POTD prices all that attractive either. Just throwing away supporters IMO.
  15. Max is also 26 in October. Really needs to move on and be a number one somewhere.
  16. The great Phil Bennett, 73. Legend.
  17. Most parents get their kid a colouring book - I guess this is the billionaire's equivalent. At least the lad won't be getting involved in football if he's doing this.
  18. I don't know - they come over here, they take our sheep...
  19. I've no idea what you meant - I just read what you wrote. Btw, I don't think it's a good place to hold a World Cup for a few reasons but that doesn't mean it's not a 'proper country'. Maybe Qatar will surprise us all, and maybe an influx of people from all 4 corners might be good for Qatar. 'Tis done now, so will just watch and hope it goes well
  20. Qatar is a proper country and is recognised as such by the UN. Neither England or Wales are.
  21. Daily Quordle 130 quordle.com ??? ?? ? ? ? ? ??? ?? ????? ????? ? ?? ?? ?? ? ? ? ????? ?? ????? This is a fairly typical effort for me. I use the same first 5 words and rarely vary. Since I started this tactic I'm running at around 95% success, though it does mean that I have to get the last 4 right to get to 6,7,8,9.
  22. If we're working on our attacking play then it must be WSM.
  23. I'm not convinced Toffolo is contacted by Colback as he seems to whip his leg away. The way he went down doesn't help either. Unfortunately the ref had disallowed it and the question was then is there enough evidence to overturn. Not convinced, although as I was watching it there I was shouting for VAR and willing them to change. Mind you, had the on-field decision been a penalty don't think there'd be enough evidence to overturn that either. (All this, by thw way from someone who had lived down here for 50 years but grew up watching the Terriers and whose fantasy Champions League Final is Huddersfield vs Bristol City).
  24. Can't see that happening myself. Was at the match and there was a lot of unrest after the first decision, which was upheld by VAR. Having looked at it a few times don't think there was enough definitive evidence to justify changing the refs decision. There wasn't much of an appeal over the second one which just looked like a coming together live so could understand the ref not giving it. Having looked at it a few times I think that it should have been given but it needed VAR to tell the ref.. Hope there's no legals though - very bad precedent to set. As an aside, the programme included an article on that ****ing Dean Windass goal. Will that ever go away?
