Apparently Rovers have got a special FA Cup kit for today - yellow shirts and green shorts. These colours may confuse their fans when they see the half and half scarves for sale on the way in to the ground.

It’s a legacy thing from when they used to be Newton Heath 😀

Curr Avon is spot on. Anything rumoured is only believable when it’s announced on the OS.

Even now after all these years do I still find it confusing that others can’t accept what I’m saying…………:dunno:

If it announced on the official site it cannot be a rumour, so that argument is a clear non starter RR

    Blimey ! A couple of sensible Pikeys;

I have just read an article concerning Tommy Widdington, young players and the Teds. Said Teds have just signed a young player from Aldershot Town, released as 16 year old by Ipswich but didn't give up and has fought back,  they have paid 250,000 for him and loaned him back for season, he went there because of their reputation for developing players and giving them a chance. All this is a lesson to our own youngsters who were not given chance, don't give up, also a lesson to Rovers , if you don't give youngsters a chance they will not want to come here, as a life long Rovers fan the article does not make for enjoyable reading.

City do a good job on attracting young supporters and families of that there is no doubt.
But they have a user friendly stadium that holds 27,000, so lots of space on an average game to put the discounted ticket holders. Plus, their main attraction is a higher level/standard of football which is the main attraction for the young.
Our new owners seem to be slowly improving our facilities, but without progression on the pitch it doesn’t matter what deals/discounts are offered, the young won’t come in their numbers.

Have they been outed as gurt Teds yet?

Well…….another promising Conference player, one of several from the lower leagues most, if not all of whom failed to reach the quality required for the Championship.

Let’s hope this lad can make the step up……….:fingerscrossed:

That young Channel Islander who left a few months ago turned out OK

That’s not quite how it works Weepywall. The attendance will of course be claimed as over 10,000 but the correct process with their attendances is to start with the actual much lower attendance and gradually increase it over a number of posts until the fictional figure is arrived at and made into a ‘fact’

Which is what happened here. The 10,076 was the attendance for the fixture in Blackpool. The Gas will ‘adopt’ that number because it is much less embarrassing than the truth. Also, there would have been 32,000 there but the balloon festival is only a few months away.

If you are scrambling for positivity then you may be right but it’s blatantly obvious a right back will give away the ball more than a centre half

Also, I though Tanner had a good game.

Surely a team who less than one month ago were pushing for promotion shouldn't be needing penalties to win a home game? or maybe its just the case that this "journalist" is following the typical gashead approach of celebrating too early.

Pretty soon his tweet from 23 Dec will take its place alongside the unwashed chanting "we got our stadium" at Ashton gate, and celebrating staying up at Wycombe the week before getting relegated

Also, they ‘call-out officials’ every week. Barton never lost a game that wasn’t the ref’s fault.

I don't think anything counts on robins TV.

    What's he going to say?

Bif of a damp squid to be honest,  expected better, bang average??

You don't realize how much neutral commentators or JP matter until your subjected to robins TV week in week out, and how amazing everything is all day everyday under every manager for 4 years

Sorry, I know I’m being an arch pedant here, but I always smile when people say damp Squid 😀

They had Cam Pring earlier in the season and Tyreeq Bakinson was on the bench against Leicester.

Thanks guys. It was Bakinson I was thinking of.

    Whoosh!

The reason for the laughter was you cannot miss something you've never had.  It's like me saying I've missed sleeping with Natalie Portman. No one was doubting the impact McCrorie would have when he eventually played, but you carry on with the self congratulations.

I had a great evening. Thanks.

@Major Isewater says Natalie aint all that actually

Bit of deja vu from when Semenyo was there on loan, they played live on BBC against Leicester I think and he was amazing, that's when we recalled him and the Chelsea bid followed...

    Great opportunity for SPH

Wasn’t Vyner also in that team?

This fan base is so fickle at times 😂 we wouldn’t have West Ham to look forward to on Tuesday if it wasn’t for O’Leary, kept us in the game with some fantastic saves prior to our equaliser. He made a mistake just like other world class keepers do, own it, learn from it and move on.

He also pulled off a very good save yesterday.
