According to my West Ham season ticket holding cousin, Danny Ings is on £150k a week. Let that sink in. -

Because it’s not that deep. But feel free to keep pondering what else I might have meant -

Yes, but it was also based on the concept of Boards generally giving their new appointment a bit of financial backing after putting them in place. If you’re digging for a slight on Liam from me, you’re looking in the wrong place. -

With the business so far this window, it actually still lends itself to the “we are maxed on wages” line. We have brought in a youngster from Ireland who won’t be costing the earth, turned TGH’s loan contract into a permanent and swapped Andi’s wages for Twine’s. That still leaves the option of bringing one more in if they want to allocate some of that nest egg to the new guy as many of us had/have expected them to do as a gesture. Two if they want to make a real play for that 6th place spot. -

You’ve just described the window that led to us signing Afobe. -

Or maybe not everyone on here has the same opinions. You’re more likely to post if you disagreed with Pearson’s no loan policy, it’d be a bit weird of me to post each day that I agreed with it to give that public backing. Now those who were in that camp but not posting will likely post that they disagree with signing someone on loan with no agreed future fee set. I’d feel differently if we had a TGH style loan or we stood closer to the relegation or promotion places. Now if he does well here, Burnley either up the fee or keep him themselves and we wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. I’m pleased with the identity of the signing, I’m not pleased with the deal struck. -
....to write off this season. Time to have a(nother) rebuild in the Summer. Sigh.

I've never watched North Korean TV, but I imagine it to be much like Robins TV from a reality vs messaging POV. -

Here is the exact post where Harry was calling for him to be signed on a free. -
I’m sure we could have had him as manager once but after a boardroom split we went for Pulis instead? …..or am I mixing my stories and that was Peter Taylor?

The counter to that would be to ask if that would be patronising to dumb down the correct use age of language so the “average fan on the street” gets it? Like you, I did enjoy that he was also self-aware enough to mock himself for his constant use of those words. Anything that shows his human side is welcomed.

I haven’t been watching this thread and when we were making the subs I was hoping Bell wasn’t for Anis as I felt he was the one attacking player who was worrying Hull in the second half. Come on here after the goal to find you all thought he was playing crap get in Jason! -

Your post makes me think of this quote from Abraham Lincoln: Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt. -

What was the poll result? 90% of us or so? Just for the record, I’m jeffin miserable as I want Manning to be a success, and I think in time he could be….. but I also thought Nige should have stayed. I’m not sure where I fit on MRR’s true fan scale. -
